"I have lived here for 10 years. Love the Mountain View and the residential areas. I also like that the new iota ride their horses in the afternoon. Relaxing environment. "
  • Abraham C. J.
"They let there dogs walk without a leash and I constantly having to restrain my dog. They do not pick up after there dogs as well "
  • Crsanchez111
"I've lived here 18 years (since Sept. 2001), and my wife and I like it very much. We live on the hills which we love. It's quiet and safe. My wife and I walk in the evenings, and we have always felt safe. I have worked as a teacher here since 1992, and I've been nearby (about a block away from the school) where crime was committed only once a few years ago. I took a class at the junior college here, and I liked it. I also liked the professor very much."
  • Adrian.velasquez1989
"hard to move around to many people in this small place. people drive to fast main streets have little stops and not enough lights I would definitely move out of here one's I get my own place. "
  • Yadira E.
"I lived here for 4 yrs and love it. close to schools, markets, freeways. nice and quite neighborhood "

"My neighborhood has great access to public transportation and the commute to City like Sylmar San Fernando and surrounding cities."
  • Speramos27
"We have plenty of schools around, a lot of new houses construction and supermarkets. The area is surrounded by 3 freeways: 210, 5 and 118."
  • Barbwilkey
"The dogs here are barking all the time, all morning afternoon and ALL NIGHT LONG! Also, there are dogs on the loose a lot. My dog has gotten attacked when we walked her before.!"
  • Sarah C.
"Not usually very high traffic except for the light at Hubbard and Foothill. Buses and metro are both conveniently located."
  • Marc C.
"Don’t move here unless you absolutely have to. Even the nicer areas have crime and other issues......."
  • Vlvickyval
"There are a lot of schools nearby. A lot of kids walk to school hear and there is a red center in the park down the street. However there is also quite a bit of street traffic so it is best little ones are accompanied crossing the streets. "
  • Callan C.
"A lot of traffic during rush hour from the people traveling to/from the SC and Antelope Valleys. Glenoaks is a good alternate to the 210 since there is ongoing construction on Foothill. Most bus routes aren’t convenient for local travel and will increase travel time by 200-300%. "
  • Javier
"There are many families in the area and the Sylmar High school seems safe and well maintained. There are also plenty of stores and restaurants in the area."
  • Norma C.
"Very nice area. Calm and safe. A lot of hiking trails and parks. Easy access to freeways. Apartment near the area are really nice and affordable. "
  • Sue
"Oakridge is a terrible place to live. The HOA is aweful you can't even walk your dogs. Scot will go on your property with no notice and look in your house. Office staff is very rude. So glad to be out of there"
  • Yazminaa G.
"Is very safe . Cameras and in every corner , the store and food places are across the street. Weed shop as well "
  • Anthony G.
"Lived here for almost 3 years. Pretty quiet for the most part. Everyone kind of keeps to themselves but neighbors will say hello when you see them. "
  • Trulia User
"None nothing fun in this Naighbor hood dark streets none events city of San Fernando very strict no one I know wants to live in that city"
  • Kariguevara1
"Mission College is walking distance. Discovery Prep High is also walking distance. El Carisso Park is next to Mission College and they have access to pools during the summer. "
  • Martyzarate
"The Commute to Los Angeles is a big rough if you leave late however,if you give yourself the allotted time needed you should get to your destination with no problem. Taking the Train to Union station and the subway to your drop off is the best route and you don’t have to deal with the traffic. "
  • bonitap
"i used to love the sylmar parade. there aren't many activities in sylmar. however it is a great place to live. "
