Very short distance to Hwy 2 (plowed first in winter!). Irrigation system from river, fenced, ripp-rapped with cedar logs and rock on the shore. Easily walkable slope to water. Deep enough for sailboat. Fruit and nut trees and flowering bushes. 110 front feet on the water. Nice homes on both sides (one brand new). Small newer storage building on the property now (which is movable). On the Pend Oreille east of Laclede. A few miles west of Sandpoint. For those of you wondering, this used to be part of our yard (we owned the adjacent home some years ago) which is why there are all the fruit and nut trees. This is beautiful waterfront from which you can go miles in both directions - all the way to the south end of Pend Oreille Lake which is probably 60 or more miles with 4+ islands, to the Albeni Falls dam near the Washington border which is perhaps 20 miles, or at least partway toward the Cabinet Gorge dam in Montana. You'll need to stay overnight! There are waterfront restaurants scattered around the lake, or you can do as we do and go out at sunrise with hot chocolate and take a dawn swim by secluded rocks. Much of the lake borders on national forest. Beautiful Riley Creek Park is 3 miles away- convenient for motor-homes or camping if you have overflow guests - there is also a boat launch there. There is great fishing, great water sports, great skiing at Schweitzer nearby, and just beauty everywhere. There are moose, bear, geese, eagles, deer, and forests, meadows, wildflowers and huckleberries. Mountains and lakes. Canada nearby - drive to Lake Louise in just a few hours! The tourist mecca of Sandpoint is just a few minutes away with music festivals, county fairs, art festivals, farmer's markets and boutique restaurants. Go for a sea-plane ride or parasailing. For big city pursuits Coeur d'Alene and Spokane are within an hour. Farther afield but in a day's drive are the incredibly beautiful National Parks of Canada, the wild seashores of the Pacific Northwest, the metropolis of Seattle or Portland, or our own incredible Yellowstone. Please note that Zillow estimates apparently do not take the fact that it is waterfront into account.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageworse place to send your children Overdue review! My experience was from kinder - second grade. Parents and kids are great, but lots of homework and not enough time for after school activities. Lots of bullying, pressure, and favoritism by elementary school staff. If your child isn't liked they will let it be know. Please do your homework and ask lots of questions. I would not recommend this school for young children learning should be fun, no need to add so much pressure to little kids. Check out other private schools in the area before you make a decision.there's absolutely no help when it comes to children with special needs there allowed to nap in the office or they get put in a room all by them self if there having a hard time understanding the subject this is not ok there's a time my child told me his teacher had garbed his arm hard to remove him from the room my son then stated and stood up for himself that this was child abuse he screamed it outload to where other teachers could here this then made the teacher uncomfortable and then she has called me and informed me i do not agree with how this school treats there kids parents were not allowed to attended some school activities such as movie day where all the kids would sit in the gym and watch a movie we do not and will never attend this school ever againParent Review2y ago
