"Commute is 20 minutes to north side of town. 50 minutes drive to Summerlin area in Las Vegas for shopping and restaurants "
  • Jstdreamn
"People would like having a dog and the dogs would be well accepted as they are not a neighborhood problem - barking, escaping, and or biting/killing chickens or livestock "
  • Calygurl4life
"No public transportation, 50 miles to/from work, no traffic, slight construction, possible wild life, ie rabbits, burros, coyotes, crossing roads, 20 mins from major grocery stores & other local businesses. Very rural."
  • Carrie M.
"There is no public transportation but there are taxis and everything is very close. Many people ride bicycles to places. "
  • Rhea M.
"There is plenty of space to walk and most properties have enough space for them to run freely all the time. I don’t think I’ve ever heard any reasons as to why someone wouldn’t want to own a dog here. The asphalt does get hot for paws though and there are only sidewalks on the highway in town, not in housing communities (unless you live in one of the two major HOAs here) "
  • RHONDA L. H.
"Great, not alot of Traffic. im visiting my mom and I love it here and I plan to move out here from Vegas very soon. I feel safe, beautiful views, nice people, it's a lovely, peaceful little town, With just enough things to do here. There's alot more things going on and to do than you would think. Although they do need a Movie Theater, and A Water Park for the Hot Summer Day's not everyone has access to a pool. 😊"
  • Beaanar
"Quick easy drive to and from work everyday. A few potholes that should be fixed but generally safe and close to 372. "
  • Ilene S.
"I love Pahrump the schools are just ok nothing exceptional. the community does alot for family's activities"
  • Kennedycwby
"These lots are all 1-2 acre fenced parcels with all sorts of livestock including dogs, horses, goats, chickens & roosters. Folks ride their UTVs up & down our street with dogs occasionally. Very pet friendly community with a vet about 7 miles down the road. "
  • Trulia User
"lotta cool dogs and some cool cats. I don't know any of their names, but I can tell they're good creatures. "
  • Ann D.
"it's very quiet and friendly. great people, nice and great place to live. big homes for cheap and great stores. "
  • Tanasha M.
"I’m currently living with family. And I enjoy living here in Pahrump. However, I do not think it is a place to raise children or start a family."
  • Jyelle87
"The commute isn’t too bad. The construction currently is a pain but all in all the commute isn’t bad."
  • Jonathan T.
"They would like the dog area, the slow traffic. The large grass areas in the middle of the neighborhood."
  • Harley H.
"theres nothing but houses no side walk honestly the neighborhood is nice but you'd have to walk quite a bit to find a good spot to enjoy walking your dog"
  • Jo M.
"We are out of doors type people. I collect rocks, minerals, and fossils and I like to teach children about Geology and earth sciences. My husband is a handy man with all the tools. People like asking my husband about working on mechanical issues. "
  • Cytygal1955
"The neighborhood is mostly a retired community. I have not seen any children on the street. The speed is 25 mph and there are nice sidewalks to walk."
  • Gillian K.
"THERE IS NOTHING FOR YOUR KIDS DO MOT BRING THEM HERE. it's awful the people are cruel and all the town wants is to lock your kids up and throw away the key"
  • Vanessa D.
"it's a desert, not much to do and I plan to move, people are definitely their own kind of breed out here and the best thing to do is to stay away from them, people in pahrump are the worst I have ever encountered "
  • Cytygal1955
"We have to drive everywhere which is not a oroblem. I get to see more of the area this way! This town is quite spread out which is just fine by me!"
  • Scott F.
"its a high traffic area so that is a downfall and its dark at night but its quiet and i love how quiet at night it is and i am happy with it "
  • katana b.
"it's quiet. not awhole lot of people around us other then that nothing. theres nothing for the kids to do or for anyone to do "
  • Billnorva43
"The village we lived-in is a quiet neigh- borhood community and no crime related issues is/are being reported that I know of. (Azure Manor-Rancho de Paz)"
  • Zumacyn
"Quiet, peaceful, minimum .037 acre lots, close to Mountain Falls, no crime heard of, Pahrump Coffee roasters"
  • Twarrencjku1
"I love the quiet, how the stars are so beautiful at night and how I'm not living so close to my neighbors that I see what they are having for dinner! "
  • Bobbi B. R.
"Lived in Pahrump 10 years decided to stay bought our first home in April it’s quite yet beautiful wild jack rabbit road runners and verifiably wild life with friendly neighbors "
  • Laura T.
"Its small town desert living, where the cost is cheaper then neighboring California or Las Vegas, but a short drive to both. If people are looking to move out here and change it to a metropolis, do not bother. We like small growth but value our small town living more. "
  • Peggysanders2017
"We have lived here 6 years. It is a nice, quiet county area with paved streets and close-ish town."
