Unless you come from money or graduated from Lexington and have deep roots, your kids will not be successful. If your kid has a learning disability, FORGET getting any help without a doctors note to force it and then even still you have to babysit the school. PE education is the worst I have ever seen. My kids say all they do is walk around the playground, every day while the teachers play on their phone. My older one in middle school athletics is pretty much in a PE class. My child doesn't get to play at all, coach is constantly screaming and yelling at the kids, playing on the phone, or horse playing with other coaches (personal observations). If a teacher is called out for faults your child will suffer repercussions (bully-style) from the teacher. My middle child has been passed 3 grades and reads 2 grades level below the current grade level. Bullies are not dealt with at all. Just look up the 01/16/14 fight at Lexington High School that almost claimed a student's life. I am so disgusted with this school!

Lexington High School is a small 3A Division II school district in Central Texas. The campus is blessed with a range of talented educators that seek out opportunities for the students. The campus provides a number of career and technical educational (CTE) experiences in courses such as: Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources, Audio Visual Technology & Communications, Health Science, Human Services, Information Technology, and Law & Public Services. Through well developed pathways, the CTE coursework at Lexington High offers students the opportunity to choose between more than 45 electives. Students participate in the industry based certification process for all but one pathway. Additionally, fine arts coursework includes Art, Band, Jazz Band and Theater Arts. The campus is routinely in the top 20 of the Texas UIL Lone Star cup due to the well rounded competitiveness of the total UIL program.

Aweful! This ISD is the worst. They loose teachers every year. Last year the principal of the HS stood and watched a fight. They didn't fire her...
