Teachers like being at this school and want to stay here. An active PTA raises a lot of money that is then invested in student success and in making the schools fun community. Staff provide many after school activities like maker’s space (crafts/STEM), art competitions, science fair, battle of the books, night at the museum (history projects) and sports (basketball, football, track, cross country, etc.). I was skeptical when I visited the first time, but the school is so clean, neat, kept up, and orderly. It’s like Japan in there. Everything is very polished. The teachers and faculty are all very responsive to my questions and concerns. Even though most of the teachers are openly liberal, I can’t take too much issue with them because it’s clear to me that they are very professional, trained, dedicated to student’s well-being. The JROTC program has been amazing for my student. I can’t say enough nice things about the JROTC instructors. They take the curriculum and make it fun for the students. They foster creativity and encourage students to stretch and enrich their minds. The parental and business involvement is much greater than I have found at other schools. My children and I have found Goldenview to be a great learning community all the way around!
