"Dogs are seen all the time with their owners walking up and down the street, it’s nice to see my neighbors getting out and enjoying the fresh air"
  • Kgtiffany.gilmore1
"Community events consist of tree lighting events at Christmas time, trick or treating at Halloween time and food drives all year round."
  • J
"Most people don’t move from this neighborhood. It’s a friendly setting and mostly safe as neighborhoods of south shore go"
  • Jackrobbert93
"Very Quite town with lots of forest and preserved forest areas. And lots of cranberry bogs some cranberries go to Ocean Spray. Very hard working and detected people-that help the community. And lots of farm land. "
  • Wes D.
"We have lived in this neighborhood for two years. Other than as a cut-through our road is lightly travelled. We like the peacefulness of the area, while still not being too far from any conveniences."
  • Aaron A.
"Hanson is a nice, quaint town with commuter rail access, good schools and quiet, safe streets."
  • Jennifer F.
"This is a great location for families- excellent school district, quiet neighborhood but easy access to local routes, and close to several commuter rail stations."
  • Sheryl B.
"I have lived in the town for 14 years now and would not want to go anywhere else. I have four children, 3 are now in the High School, having a wonderful experience and one in elementary school. All three schools take an interest in each child and plan a variety of activities to engage all children at some point. The staffing at all the schools is superb, they listen to the childs needs as well as the parents. A Regional Middle and High School offers programs that most nearby towns cannot offer, such as culinary, child care, automotive and horticulture. It is a unique school system and one that works. As for the town as a whole...we offer plenty of dining options, walking trails, golf course, shopping, T-Station, Medical, Dental, Laundry and so much more. We are a small town with alot to offer! Our holiday celebrations are all run by volunteers and they are extremely successful. People come from many neighboring towns each July 4th for our fireworks and hospitality. Our Holidays in Halifax starts early in the morning with breakfast with Santa, raffles and a kids shopping table. By nightfall the town looks like a page from Norman Rockwell, with carolers, ice sculptures, horse cart rides and loads of people wishing each other a happy holiday. All the local businesses offer food and warmth for a memorable evening. Houses are priced well and you will get alot more for your money then buying in nearby towns. We offer townhomes and single family homes with door to door bus service in many neighborhoods and streets. Halifax is a wonderful place to raise a family or come to for retirement. The ponds are beautiful year round and the beach area well kept. I am sure if you give it a try, you will fall in love with the town like so many others have! "
