"My Washington is a great neighborhood to live in. There are nice parks and trails, the people are friendly and helpful to others. It’s close to downtown, central to downtown and major highways for shopping, places to eat and entertainment."
  • Aemglenn
"Friendly people with diverse population and rich in history. Many local restaurants and attractions. "
  • Cortnie Howard
"We are a mixed race community who get along with each other. They have plenty of restaurants to dine at. Also local grocery store and convenience store that are walking distance. They have plenty of daycare and community centers. There is also a police station in. Two areas so I feel safe"
  • Trulia User
"every think about the area and neighborhood and all the stuff and the size of house in general to be fit for them or no and the price as well for rent"
  • Trulia User
"it's a dog friendly area. Emerald View Park has great trails and soft water donations, plus there's an off-leash area on Bigbee. "
  • Trulia User
"It’s nice except for a few. Great place to live. Close to everything, but not too close. Safe for anyone. "
  • Trulia User
"There is a very nice playground set in the back of Chatham Village that was recently installed. Olympia Park can be nice but you need to inspect the grass before you let your kids run around… "
  • Jasmine H.
"excellent transportation to downtown and many areas. close to the trolley, bus, and incline.............."
  • Emily S.
"I used to take the incline into the city before getting a car. I’m not a fan of busses because they aren’t as reliable. I take the T often also. Driving is definitely the best way to get around but public transportation isn’t terrible. There isn’t any “rush hour” traffic on the mountain but trying to get down PJ McCardle around 5pm is quite a lot "
  • Gabebroida
"Driving but I can take the T as well. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful besides the construction that we have all the time. "
  • Matthew G.
"It's a safe and quiet neighborhood that is located is centrally located in heart of downtown Pittsburgh. People are friendly and respectful and warm!!"
  • NaTaya R.
"It’s very quiet, the people are very friendly, very convenient bus stops, a few minute walk to the junction, etc. this neighborhood is more than great!"
  • D.j. M.
"Quick And easy to get on all the main roads of Pittsburgh - 579, 28 and 376. There are multiple ways to get down off of the mountain. "
  • D.j. M.
"While amount Washington is known for its amazing views of the city and is a big tourist attraction, people are very friendly and it has a true sense of community"
  • Jason N.
"None we have shop n save hot dog giveaway other than that nothing neighbor hoody it’s an ok place though "
  • MtWashLife
"There is a lot of litter and abandoned homes. Parking is pretty awful. It's pretty safe and it's easy to get anywhere in the PGH area quickly. Lot's of old timers and bro's up here."
  • Sean D.
"The bus stop is right outside followed by a 15 minute trip downtown. Sucks during snow as the roads aren't plowed until noon sometimes. "
  • smd
"It's an okay place to live. One side of the mountain is drugs and crime, the other side is nice and quiet. "
  • Cynthia A
"Pet Friendly but Responsible Older Residential Neighborhood typically with yard space suitable for pets."
  • Michael
"perfect location. close to downtown, Southside, easy commute via T or car to downtown. for a city neighborhood safe, not loud at night, and home prices are great. "
  • Sue B.
"It’s all about the view! Everyone is friendly and the biggest downside is that there is not enough parking."
  • Carolina159
"I enjoy the dog park and sidewalks and coffee shop close by. The public transportation is an easy commute to the downtown. "
  • Mcristina1570
"It’s a very convenient location because it has easy access to get downtown, the neighbors are very friendly and it’s very quiet at night"
  • Reriordan
"Mount Washington is a unique neighborhood because it has the overlook of the city. You really can't get a view like that anywhere else."
  • Senecapropertiespgh
"Great place to live. Great location to city. Some rough parts here n there but safe for most part. I’ve lived up in mt for almost 17 years now. Probably moving in next few years because of bad school districts for my kids. "
