This is such a lovely home located in peaceful Chocolay Township. Tucked away in the Briarwood subdivision you have the best of both worlds; quiet rural setting meets neighborhood coziness. This home has so much going for it both inside and out. The large fenced-in backyard is perfect for yard games, pets, family, all the activities you can think of. On top of that there is an abundance of storage, in addition to the two-car garage there is a large shed and a 30x30 pole barn. This is perfect for all the toys you need in the UP, boats, side-by-sides, motorcycles, you name it. The main living space has a nice open feel where you can freely move between the kitchen and living space, never missing conversation or excitement, perfect for entertaining. Upstairs you will find three bedrooms and a large full bathroom with storage and double sinks. The lower level offers so much, with an amazing living room complete with a stone fireplace, this is such a cozy spot for game night or movie time. The walk out basement has laundry, full bathroom, and garage access. Off the family room is a stairway down to space perfect for a home office or a large bedroom with walk in closet. It keeps going…there is even an unfinished space that provides indoor storage as well as a great workshop.

"This is a safe neighborhood, well maintained properties, nestled into the foothills of Marquette Mountain. Some lots abut a green strip with frequent sightings of deer and a variety of migratory birds during the summer months. Downtown is more than a short walk but is a reasonable bike ride away (warm months). Otherwise public transport is available from the front door. Snow plowing is excellent on Altamont and you can always get out during winter if you keep the foot of your driveway clear. Marquette has just the right amount of tourism to support a variety of sporting events and festivals during all seasons but not so much tourism that it feels like a congested bigger tourist area like Traverse City. There are a least three local micro-brewries, several good restaurants, and always entertainment, especially on weekends. Marquette is growing just enough to support continuous improvements and developments of its parks and attractions and there are at least two (three star type) hotels and along with a number of nice chain hotels for visitors. Downtown becomes almost magical in the wintertime with its snow-capped sandstone facades and "lit-up" trees. Being situated on a bay of Lake Superior makes Marquette one the the most picturesque small towns in the Midwest. "
