This school only acts that they care about the students. I’ve seen teachers that try to actually help but the staff would just dismiss it like it was nothing, like constant teasing, bullying, and health problems. For example when someone gets hurt normally you would be allowed to go to the nurse right? Not here. Here there is a 1010 rule, where you’re not allowed to leave at the first 10 and last 10 minutes of class so that same student would have to wait until getting help. Additionally, if they do end up helping it’s for the smallest thing out of everything else and they seem to love dragging down the actually good kids for the bad kids behavior thinking that they will change because they care about the other students, which they don’t. I also feel that MOST coaches, teachers, nurses, staff, and etc don’t want to even be slightly associated with the students and their genuine concerns. I truly feel that ALMOST no one here has an actual understanding of how to teach and care for kids.

Why did the teacher not grade most assignments? I saw the ones he did in time, but they still weren't graded.

As a parent of a former student at Matzke Elementary, I feel compelled to share our experience. During my daughter’s time at the school, she endured repeated instances of bullying that caused her distress. Despite bringing these concerns forward, I was disappointed by what felt like a lack of meaningful intervention or resolution from the teachers and staff. As a parent, it is deeply concerning about a child’s well being are not addressed with the urgency, empathy, and care they deserve. While I remain grateful for the genuine friendships my daughter’s amazing friends who provided her with much-needed support during a very difficult time I believe it is important for the school community to reflect on how student concerns are handled. Every child deserves to feel safe, heard, and protected in their learning environment.
