"I loved living in SLU two years ago. But The noise is increasing as are the public disturbances and the homeless. "
  • Laura B.
"It’s so pretty and unique. Plus the center for wooden boats and wildlife is great to have nearby. Lots of areas for walks and biking as well."
  • Danielle C.
"My commute is about 10 minutes by bus with only a little bit of walking. I have a couple bus options."
  • Lilianlody
"There are no events here. It is a community for single people . It is not a good place for children There are good restaurants here, only this "
  • Lilianlody
"Not good place for family, is better for people who don't have children. This is a good place for people who have pets."
  • Autumn G.
"Loud streets, heavy traffic at times, lots of construction, may make shy dogs nervous. However, for the most part it is very dog friendly, lots of other friendly dogs in the area."
  • Richard L.
"not alot of park's. lots of peeps don't pick up. please try of side walks but so many peeps it's annoying to go for a run with your dog. "
  • Francisco J.
"I’ve been living in South Lake Union for over a year now. It’s a quiet neighborhood that is welcoming to families and young couples. "
  • Albert E.
"there are many homeless in the area so be careful of parks. also traffic is kind of wild near the I5 on ramps"
  • Keller.benjamin2
"SLU is a neighborhood that is just finding its legs. Growing like crazy, it is full of new residents and amazon. The restaurants are all new and just now figuring things out. A cool place to be and just about to hit the big-time. "
  • Trulia User
"Festivals and events every week! The whole city steps from your doorstep. There’s something for everyone and you’re close to everything "
  • Matthew D.
"Parks, Seattle center, South Lake. So many places to take the pup, doggie day cares and dog walkers are abundant "
  • Shaolin11
"Fireworks, lakefront, aurora borealis laser light show event, food trucks, farmers market, Amazon, sea planes"
  • Cathy J.
"Beautiful neighborhood but scary at night. Denny Park has needles and Rats so wouldn’t recommend for kids or dogs"
  • Charmcitylinz
"There are not a lot of kids and when there are they are here temporarily for amazon. Seattle center is touristy but fun for kids. Denny Park is okay but small and no swings. "
  • Jwmalette
"It is safer than the rest of Seattle and is near Lake Union. Lots of good restaurants and easy access to downtown."
  • Rachel B.
"Quiet. Close to the city but not crazy downtown. Could use more walkable restaurants and everything but the QFC closes early. "
  • Gary A.
"I’m visiting this neighborhood for about two months and like it. It is a nice area with restaurants and lovely lake union near by. As well it is close to the scca. "
  • Jing
"We lived in neighborhood for two years. Busy in daytime and convenient for getting around. Safe in night-time but not strong community activities weekly."
  • Deltadkw
"We’ve lived in this neighborhood for a year, love the access and central location, but moving because it’s a construction zone"
  • Trulia User
"I've been living in this neighborhood for about two years now, I feel comfortable as a female walking my dog late at night and have never been bothered by drifters. I wanted something in the heart of downtown that also had a quiet space. I live on the ground level and never have complaints. Even when there are events at MPop or the Space Needle it never seems to get crazy. I would highly recommend and will not be moving until I buy something next year! "
