Overall, New Dorp is a good school. Most people there are nice. However, the school does not give the necessary information on gradation requirements. Not many people know that 100 hours of community service is needed to graduate. I did not know either until someone told me. All they said was 44 credits are a requirement. The school should tell you that service hours are mandatory. There are students in 11th grade who do not know about the hours. I mean no harm in this review, I just wanted to bring awareness to this. Behold, the manifold tribulations besetting the esteemed institution of learning are as grievous as they are manifold, demanding redress with all due haste. Foremost among these lamentable conditions are the deplorable privies, whose dismal state doth affront the sensibilities of all who traverse them. The floors, sodden and malodorous, betray the unchecked spillage of urine, an abomination unworthy of any place devoted to enlightenment. Such dereliction doth bespeak not mere negligence but a flagrant disregard for the dignity of students and staff alike. Furthermore, the comportment of the pedagogues is sullied by a most egregious partiality, manifesting in a punitive inequity between the sexes. Indeed, it is observed that the male students are oft singled out for chastisement in circumstances where parity of blame doth clearly exist. When disputes arise betwixt lads and lasses, it is invariably the former who suffer the sting of retribution, while the latter escape unscathed. Such capriciousness in discipline offends the principles of justice and ought to be expunged forthwith. Of no lesser concern is the autocratic dogma underpinning the school's governance, wherein the infallibility of the teacher is held as sacrosanct. Even when incontrovertible evidence doth lay bare the errors of an educator, the institution persists in its obstinate defense of their authority. This grievous miscarriage of equity not only silences the legitimate grievances of students but also emboldens educators to wield their power without fear of censure, engendering a culture of unaccountability that is antithetical to the ideals of education.

..Well, as a former student of 7th-8th grade I didn't exactly have the greatest approach to the students of the school. I am exceedingly shy, and lacked to maintain "healthy" friendships with my peers. Every-so-often I was verbally bullied, (By both students and one teacher) and once threatened. Acts of bullying, however, were never reported BY me. I frequently told my mom how I felt in the school. (Good relationship with my mother.) My mom reported every incident, yet schools never took immediate action (or any action for that matter.) Just because of WHO told them. Other then that, I made a few friends, and had an alright overall experience..
