My son is a jr & hes went to Casey County schools his whole life. We've never had any problems with LES, Middle school, or now high school. I Think Casey County is a great place to raise your kidsSchool taxes are a bit high but they're worth my kids happiness

They toss the children in with others without attempting to test and see where they need to be for new students... we took in a child and enrolled who had missed and entire three years of school, asking to have assessment done and placed at level only find counselor said she is retiring and wouldn't know most the answers to questions we asked or could care less then would not let us tour school with child before starting. We asked to speak with teachers called asking even sent an email no response from anyone. My kid has watched kids vaping in the school as well as multiple fights she is not safe on the bus either. The teachers in her classes just passed her though this year and she did not know the curriculum they told her to copy another student to keep the flow I assume. They had no mentoring programs and no summer school this yeas as they said they have had it in the past just not this year. They do not communicate events or how child is even doi g academicallyor emotionally. This school is obviously meant to run the kids through the system and be done with it as it is the only middle school for our area all other schools funnel into, so they are not held to any standards.

My girls never had a lice problem until we relocated here and they attended this school!! My girls are constantly narrowed out for head checks and belittled by staff and other students which do not get head checks! The education is poor - the textbooks are outdated, the playground also outdated and the kids aren't allowed to talk in class (in indiana where I come from students are allowed to talk to some extent but not excessive) I feel like this hinders children and their social skills that are needed in learning. The teachers are fair. The school nurse is very poor and yelled at me and the principal is also poor considering toward the beginning with the lice problem, my complaint went unnoticed for other students to also have head checks. I would not recommend this school to anyone if you want a big lice problem, reinfestation and have to spend out lots of out of pocket money on treatments, sprays, etc. Very, very poor school as well as staff and students! Wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. A one star---Terrible!!
