7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to Patterson last year, from a DPS school. Although we have lived in the neighborhood for over 15 years, we took our oldest son ( DPS graduate) to a DPS school as his school was closer to our workplace. We wish we had made the move sooner. We are thankful to be part of the Patterson community and do not regret moving our two young daughters there. This move was one of the best things we could have done for our girls (8 and 4). Our daughter's third-grade teacher, Mrs. Elsenbast, was such a breath of fresh air. She ensured our shy girl was welcomed and thrived in the new school environment. The staff at Patterson has been so welcoming. One thing that makes Patterson so different is that the school tries to involve the parents as much as possible through many events and opportunities for partnership throughout the year. Patterson is a great school.Parent Review9mo ago16 Reviews - Alameda International High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughteris here now and she loves this school. I adore the school but she is maybe 1 of 30 white kids when you walk in everything on the walls and all the pamphlets are in Spanish there's nothing in English anywhere, she went to a homecoming dance and all the music was in Spanish. The kids there pretty much dress in underwear and tank tops the boys walk around with there pants to there knees. And the foul language these kids use when I've gone to visit her at school the last few times is just god awful. And the kids vaping in the bathrooms in another no go for me. But the why i let my daughter stay is because of the family she had found there my daughter is special needs and 90% of the time doesn't talk to anyone but when she started here she met kids that helped her come out of this shell she built. She stared playing sports again and learning how to go shopping withthem and cooking together. She just joined cheerleading and omg this is the happiest my 15 year old had ever been watching her with these girls and her coaches is inedible the vibe and bond they have created with my daughter is truly inspiring all these girls take there time to make her comfortable and make her feel and know she is part of there squad her coaches build her up everyday that she has started talking nowand she excited to get up everyday and get there to be around them. I literally couldn't ask for more in friends for her so thank you girls you have given this mom hope I didn't know was possible for my daughter she not scared anymore thanks to the family yall built around her!!!Parent Review8mo ago21 Reviews - Check out schools near 1237 S Flower Cir #E.

"People are walking dogs and are courteous about barking and picking up after them. Yards are clean and neighbors are friendly!"

"It's a city commute and is not very pleasant. I don't like driving in traffic so I don't like commuting "

"I don’t have a commute, so I don’t have to worry about it, ever. When I was working, I had a commute to downtown Denver and it was no big deal at all!"

"Some areas are nice, but crime and violence can happen no matter where you are. Be very aware. Do not leave any personal property in your vehicle and keep your doors locked. "

"There are really great parks, especially Belmar, where there is music, other events, the public library, an outdoor museum with old buildings, tons of wildlife and many trails to walk on. “Downtown” Belmar is nice too. Needs more restaurants though, especially on the plaza where Baker Street used to be. "

"I visit family every week here and it's a nice and quiet place. I have really enjoyed how peaceful it is in this neighborhood and I would like to stay. It's just getting expensive and I can't afford to pay for everything. I just hope I find something else just as nice or better."

"We don't have any because most of us are too worried about keeping our homes with the ever-rising housing costs displacing most of the working class locals "

"Not a lot makes my neighborhood unique outside of a few lucky families owning small farms. It's pretty much just like every other neighborhood that the transplants haven't developed just yet so us working class locals can somewhat afford to live here. There are gunshots, dumpy abandoned cars and the occasional loose dog but I'll take that over the neighborhoods filled with giant apartment complexes and Californians "

"Belmar Park is 135 acres of natural beauty and wildlife. Plus, the heritage center and outdoor museum, and the amphitheater with concerts and movies. Plus cider days and other events at the park. And Camp Christmas! It’s close to Belmar shopping district, and I love that too. Close to I70 and downtown. "

"You see dog owners and myself walking dogs often. The dogs are welcome in most everywhere I have traveled with mine. (I can't say there has been anywhere she has not been welcome). I think as long as they are not aggressive you would be able to take them most places with enthusiasm. Even eateries. "

"This neighborhood is an older, blue-collar area that feels safe. A lot of residents own dogs and take good care of them (use a leash, pick up waste, etc.). There is lots of good food delivery options and is close to Belmar retail shopping center. 15 minutes to downtown Denver and 15 minutes to foothills. "

"That pretty much everybody owns their home everybody’s friendly everybody weighs that you everybody keeps their lawn pretty good the schools are very closer to very good school here is a basketball court and they have baseball games every once in a while or you could walk over there and watch you see some fireworks on the Fourth of July that are really nice to watch the stores are all very close she got banks you got King Soopers you got car washes you got McDonald’s 7-Eleven all that stuff in case you need it and it’s just a really lovely neighborhood to live in"

"This neighborhood is safe, quiet, near great hiking trails, and has lots of friendly people who help each other out. There are two kind gentlemen who shovel the entire neighborhood's sidewalk every time it snows, and even shovel nearby folks driveways. I can't rave enough about how amazing the neighbors are this area. There's no HOA but everyone keeps their houses/lawns decently aesthetic. Lastly, Arizona Place and the surrounding neighborhoods back up to a high school, so you will always see people out walking their dogs. I would highly recommend Lakewood/Green mountain as a place to live, own dogs, raise children, and enjoy nature. "
