Possibly one of the worst school district I have ever seen. Berating parents and refusing IEP’s someone should really look into how they run things there.

As a longtime resident of the area, I have seen what this school has become since the high school district changed leadership in since the summer of 2018. Under the previous leadership, very little attention was paid to the students or facilities. However, ever since the change, literally millions have been spent (via mostly grants) on campus improvements, numerous new teachers have arrived, and the school has become a leader for small districts in the state for preparing students for both college and ready for work. They offer several technological and career pathways, partner with local and regional businesses for placement, and have the most dual college enrollment classes in the region. It is very possible for a new 9th grader to graduate with their diploma and an associate's degree. No other area school comes close, to include the bigger schools in Lincoln, or ever Rocklin/Roseville. It offers an excellent environment for success, while maintaining that individualized student attention that you can expect from a "small town". The district has plans to expand to a second high school in the Plumas Lake neighborhood once they get the funding (which is underway) which will allow for even more focus on students and having them prepared for life.
