4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a new student to lhs, and to be honest, it sucks. I am a student who excels in science, and wanted new things to learn, but its all very repetitive and there is little to no effort made to make sure students learn new things. and the choir program is...weak. I'm sorry to say, but its overall pathetic. I've held an active role in choir for basically my whole school career, and its sad to say my elementary choir teacher (who didn't even study music) was far better than the teacher here. there is no discipline, or any challenges for us. as well as the entire fine arts category of classes is barely even there. I took the dance class as well, and for a person who never really enjoyed dance, Nybo made it fun and interesting. I have yet to try the theatre program, but hopefully it doesn't disappoint as much as the other classes.Student Review5y ago - Davis Connect K-6

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am very disappointed in this school. I had to ask multiple times to get an individual parent teacher conference for my son instead of an open house style conference. His teacher shows a lack of English skills herself but grades her students punitively.Parent Review5y ago - Legacy Jr High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSOME teachers are nice and actually want what’s best for the student but the principal strain is a joke! Students and parents can come with concerns and all you get is “we will look into it and get back with you”. You will never get a follow up. It’s terrible ! My kids didn’t experience bullying from other students but did from teachers.Other Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 1221 N 2675 W.

"If you don’t travel during rush hours the drive to downtown is really quick. I can get there in about 20 minutes or less. During high business hours it can take about 45-60 minutes to get into the city. I feel really safe in Layton and I like all the schools. "

"I would guess about 1/2 of the people here have dogs. They’re all very friendly. We have an HOA that requires they be on a leash and owners must clean up all dog poop. Everyone seems to follow the rules very well. I don’t personally have a dog but I don’t mind any of the dogs being outside. I can never hear dogs barking from inside my house, I can only hear a dog if I’m outside at the same time as the dog or have windows opened. "

"That main street is a very busy road, no kids should be near it unsupervised. Layton is very clean town, with many parks and an aquarium in the mall. There are many choices for food and entertainment here. From Cherry Hills water park to Glitter Town Cinemas. "
