Description

(PLEASE READ THE AD FIRST)
Won't have time to answer automated (Is it available?) messages.
Looking for a ( FEMALE ) housemate.

Hi everyone,

This room is available unless it's stated as rented or pending.
Please read the description (might seem long, but it's for clarity to make sure we'd get along)and then write something about yourself and your work schedule (from home/office), cus having quiet hours is highly important to us.
Also ( REFERENCES ) are required. Preferably ex-landlord/lady and or ex-housmates.

We're looking for a third person for this bedroom. There are 3 bedrooms in this unit. You'd be sharing the kitchen and bathroom with two mature persons, who get along with each other very well. We also have a super nice landlord.

The rent of this room is $950 plus $20 for water, PGE around $30-40, and the internet is around $25.
$950 rent+$20water+$950 deposit= $1920 upon moving in. Flexible move in date but available from Feb 3rd. Month-to-month. If it turns out a good fit, you can stay as long as you wish.

Unfortunately, we work 8am to 5pm jobs untill AI takes our jobs, so we have to wake up early and surprisingly we need to sleep, therefore we have quiet hours from 10:30pm to 6:30am that we don't make noise (e.g. taking late showers, doing laundry or cooking, or working in the kitchen, etc.) So we need someone really considerate, with the same boring work schedule.

To sum up what's important:
1-Quiet hours
2-Contributing to household tasks (weekly cleaning of the common area and taking the trash out)
3-Cleanliness

Very close to bus stops 72, 72R, 72M, 88, 36. The closest BART station is Ashby. About 3 min drive or 15 min walk to Berkeley Bowl West and Berkeley Ironworks and CitySports gym. 2 blocks to San Pablo Park. Laundry in the unit and free street parking.

Sorry, It's a ( NO PET ) house, and not sorry, it's a ( NO-smoking ) place. We take turns, cleaning the common areas and taking out the trash and are mindful of using common things, cleaning after ourselves, not leaving dirty dishes in the sink, or leaving clothes in washer, dryer after done and we expect the same.
We can show it on weekdays after 6pm Also the weekends, depending if scheduled in advance.

Month to month
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources. This description is from February 21, 2025

  • Trulia User
"It’s lovely, lots of young families, big park. Close to downtown Berkeley and to San Francisco. Not too snooty. "
  • Stacey M.
"Houses have a lot of character. Not all alike. Walkable restaurant, breweries, cafes. Great public transit to city on AC transit or casual carpool. Some people keep chickens, goats or bees. Nearby public tennis courts and park."
  • Tonja_12000
"The Fourth of July at the Berkeley Marina every year attracts hundreds of people and it’s such a great event"
  • Fiona K.

"southwest berkeley is a nice mix of people, activities, heritage, newness and has its own distinctive east bay flavor"
  • CT
"My family has lived in this area for 50 years. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, extremely friendly neighbours, you feel like u r living in nature but you are a 10 minute walk to major shops and restaurants on Solano. I’m at peace her"
  • Jason.rzepka
"west berkeley is an appealing neighborhood -- largely walkable, with character, lots of amenities nearby. biggest knocks are the cool breeze off the bay, bart isn't nearby and you can't easily access everyday items like milk or toilet paper."
  • Annawilson517
"35 mins door to door to downtown SF via BART from Ashby Station. Easy bike parking and typically car spaces at Ashby if you arrive by 845am"
  • JP
"The walks one can take through the Berkeley Hills keeps one focused on beauty and inner peace because you are surrounded by the natural world of redwoods, live oak trees hundreds of years old, soaring birds, extraordinary light at sunset, and did I say beauty. Truly amazing weather as well. Best place in country to live well if you can afford it"
  • Lisa L.
"This is a diverse neighborhood, w/families, singles, and older people. It is close to public transportation, a large park (dogs, tennis, ball games, rec center) and an excellent full-service market. Public school 3 blocks away. Lots of community involvement, block parties, etc. Close to a main thoroughfare yet actual street traffic is light."
