About this House

The house is an ideal setup for families or roommates with two separate living spaces, fully stocked kitchen, outdoor space, small private dock, just a short hike down to the lake, canoe, and community amenities. Three bedrooms, three baths plus extra sleeping area with trundle bed , futon and triple bunk (our 'little bear cave)- Sleeps 8-10. Take your pick for reading with one of our two decks or screened in porch and enjoy s'mores inside or outside with our fireplace or firepit.

The property is located just 1.5-2hrs from Chattanooga, Knoxville and Atlanta and a 20-45 minute drive to Murphy, Blueridge, Andrews and other local towns. There is hiking in the community just a short drive. Enjoy the beautiful Cherokee Mountains and lakeview right from the house or get outside and take in the beauty with one of the many activities available to you. In the winter months during snowfall it is stunning!

This is a month to month rental with availability between January and May. Fully furnished and rent includes all utilities. If stronger internet or additional cable or streaming apps is desired that would be at the renters expense. Once agreed upon we would provide a full lease agreement with additional policies for both parties to sign.

    "vehicle is a must have commodity to get around when you live out of the town city limits. Unless you like to walk or ride a bike. They're are few other drawbacks as well. Communicating by cell phone is not very good around the countryside, lacking cell towers. This is a problem, even trying to get on the internet. Somedays are better than others but still we have poor reception. Other than that we have the beautiful outdoors. We can enjoy going to the national forest for hiking, camping, hunting, fishing or just driving around the back roads and enjoy scenery as well as wildlife. Living outside the city's limit might have it's drawbacks but you take the good and the bad as it comes and make the best of it."

    "Murphy, NC is a small community with all the basics (yes, including Walmart). There is a lot to do or you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. Winters are NOT harsh, however, you will need warm clothing. You can enjoy the wildlife from your back deck or walk the many trails throughout the county. Although Murphy will have a Casino come the Summer of 2015; it will have little impact on the quality of life."
