My son was a student at Eastern for 2 years. In our time there, he was pointed out several times, made fun of by teachers, harassed by teachers (guidance counselor and Kindergarten teacher) because his parents are of the same sex. It is a shame that my child had to feel so unappreciated in a school system. I have reports of the extremely rude guidance counselor setting my son up for failure in his next grade up by making awful comments to the upcoming teacher about how his parents are hard to deal with. I can for sure be hard to deal with when you are singling out my son. When his teacher writes reports to the "counselor" asking for fidget spinners, special chairs to help him sit still and have someone evaluating him in his class for not being able to sit still. NOT ONE TIME DID WE KNOW ANY OF THIS HAPPENED!! When it was mistakenly brought to our attention, 3 months later, by a member of the staff, we got labeled as troublemakers because we were upset. We had every right to be upset!! My son was moved this year to another school at my request and is now THRIVING! It is amazing how much easier the school is; his learning has grown so much and is a much happier student being away from Eastern. He actually loves going to school now!! The board of education knew I was correct and honored the move. I respect the BOE so much but, if possible, avoid this school at all costs!!

I’am convince the principal strongly dislikes the students. To deny a child the right use the bathroom is completely inhuman. In this school everyone gets punished for a few people’s actions/behaviors, for an example they took away our 7 minutes to get the class because “people was vandalizing the school”. They care about how the school look more than the people in it. Not to mention the racism, it’s completely ignored as if it doesn’t matter to them.

Pulled my 1st child out. Trying to pull my 2nd child out.
