Crestwood is an excellent school, one we are proud to send our kids to and be a part of. Every teacher we have had has been extremely kind and care deeply about their students. Administration has been wonderful, especially their guidance counselor who makes every single day fun for the kids. They offer a gifted and talented program for those kids who need more of a challenge and are always thinking of different ways to partner with those kids to help them achieve faster and higher goals.

This school honestly sucks and I hate it here. I’m a trans kid and people constantly bully me for it. I’ve been threatened and harassed at least 8 times and nothing actually gets done about it. Kids say really messed up stuff to me and sometimes even threaten me, and it makes me feel super unsafe being here.What’s even worse is that the school admins act like they care but they really don’t. I’ve told them about what’s happening multiple times and they either ignore it or just say they’ll “look into it,” but then nothing changes. The same people keep bothering me and the school just lets it happen.School is already stressful enough without having to deal with people hating you for who you are. It honestly feels like the staff only pretend to care about students but when someone actually needs help they just brush it off. No one should have to go to a place every day where they feel scared or unwanted.If the school actually cared about students, especially LGBTQ+ kids, they would do something about the bullying instead of acting like it’s not a big deal. Right now it just feels like they don’t care at all.

My son and daughter both graduated from SOHS. They LOVED it! Both took a lot of AP classes and both had great ACT scores. Tremendous school-spirit and rivalry but SOHS is the powerhouse in the county. Almost every sport goes to Ky State Tournament. Band is award winning. Many opportunities for leadership and extras that are needed for scholarship and college apps. Kids loved their teachers and really appreciated how inventive and engaging the teachers and school staff were. Always have a number of perfect ACT scores, National Merit scholars, and Governor's school attendees. My kids never saw bullying at this school. Wonderful school, kids, and experience. Highly recommend!
