The PTA is very active and amazing support system for the students. Brand new school facility too! Would love more engagement from administration & communication from teachers on test improvement.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’m writing this in an effort to warn and protect other employees and families who might be considering Rockaway Collegiate High School. The students themselves are not the problem. In fact, so many of them are incredibly bright, creative, and full of potential. Like any school, there are a few challenges, but nothing that couldn’t be managed with the right leadership in place.Unfortunately, the real issue lies in the administration. There’s a lack of transparency, poor leadership, and a pattern of favoritism that creates a toxic and unstable work environment. Teachers who are passionate and committed often find themselves unsupported or even pushed out, which leads to constant turnover and inconsistency.What’s most upsetting is that it’s the students who suffer because of it. They don’t get the consistency or structure they need to succeed, and the overall climate makes it hard for them to trust the adults in the building. There’s so much wasted potential here, and it’s heartbreaking to see.I’m sharing this because people deserve to know the reality before stepping into it. Until there’s meaningful change in leadership and culture, this is not a place I would recommend to work or send your child to.
