Well for starters Jim & Betty Hughes Elementary School is a highly rated, public school located in MCKINNEY, TX. It has 825 students in grades PK, K-5 with a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1. According to state test scores, 56% of students are at least proficient in math and 55% in reading.AND that was to put it in a short summary.

Kids are constantly getting in fights and the school is quite dirty (roaches are everywhere). When a kid actually thinks something might be wrong with their mental state they are ignored. Children who are not understanding material that is being taught are dismissed as if they are just lazy. Often times the popular kids are given rewards for being average and actually above average kids are told to stop showing off. Their are teachers here who take badly about their students and are generally rude. Teachers are harsh and most students cant except anything that is slightly out of the norm. Kids are bullied constantly. The amount of fights that happen here on a monthly basis are insane. There are only a few teachers who actually care about the students. Kids, like myself who struggle with focus are told that we are lazy or we are just straight up ignored because literal teachers don't care enough to help students when needed. Counselors aren't actually helpful and kids who are actually rude to other people are never given repercussions unless they literally beat a kid up. There were fights on the second day of school. Food is extremely expensive (especially considering the quality). There used to be a club for lgbtq+ youth which had posters getting torn down the day they got put up. There are many kids who will just start screaming slurs. There have been instances of kids getting bullied for being trans. We may look rich, But the school is a poor choice in itself.

This is a great High School where we have choice of selecting the subjects each year, they have well established cafeteria where students can purchase their meals during lunch. Skyward online account helps Parents to login and view the students progress on a daily basis, enter students absence online through same portal instead of calling to office. Send the doctor note to the attendance department and they make a not of it.Parents receive emails with all kinds of activities which are happening in the High School, in case of emergencies they call to parents and inform, update weather alerts etc.From this year they have started Digital SAT in the school itself. Students are encouraged to open new clubs of their choice and help other students to educate them.Bullying, Vaping and other activities are strictly prohibited and students will receive punishment if they are caught.National Arts is well encouraged and students will receive medals and parents are invited for each celebration.Pep Rally are great to see in this High School.From past 2 years my daughter is studying and very happy about her academics and i recommend this school for any High school student.
