7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible. They don’t support any of their students and they all are absolutely awful when it comes to giving their students what they need to be better than they already are, we cant be “good to great” when we can’t come up from good.Student Review1y ago9 Reviews - Morristown West High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool administrators will demand to see you childrens text they wrote while not in school. While on summer vacation. Administration thinks they have a more far reaching then the police department. if your child doesn't fit into there pigeon hole they will get rid of them, just like my child. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWest used to be wonderful when my oldest child was there seven years ago but it has progressively gone downhill. The principal they’ve had for the last 2 or 3 years just doesn’t seem to be one to listen and work with parents. It seems like it must be this way with staff too because everyone has been leaving since he came to the school. They’re only maybe three or four teachers still there that were there when he came. That seems like a problem to me. Also it adds to instability. Stability is something many students from this school lack at home, so they really need it at school. The few staff that stuck around and used to always be so friendly just seems down now. It seems like they have lost their drive under Mr Olson. It breaks my heart seeing how the school has changed and then hearing stories from some of the teachers my children have had that left. This principal really needs to be investigated. I never leave bad reviews but I was thinking about my youngest one starting to West for his last year as a fifth grader and it’s just sad knowing he is not in the happy environment West use to be. I’m sure this review won’t be looked at and won’t accomplish anything, but parents are no longer heard at the school so this honestly just makes me feel better.Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 1129 E 2nd.

"A lot of drugs and homelessness. Look it up. Morristown has a high chance of being a victim of a violent crime. "

"I don’t think anything needs to change in regards to dog owners. People walk their dogs. But, most people have large yards for their dogs as well. There is a local park with a dog park too. "

"I have lived here since 2012. I love Morristown and would recommend this area to anyone. I feel extremely safe and the roads/streets are clean. We have county wide trash and recycling pick up weekly. Hamblen county has great public schools."

"Dogs are easy here. There are no leash laws so they roam freely. I suppose some are indoor dogs but I grew up here where dogs were mostly outdoor"

"Morristown, and in particular Windsor Place, is a terrific place to live. The homes are terrific, the neighbors are friendly-but still respect your privacy, and the entire subdivision is well-maintained, lighted and secure. The area's economy is coming back after a couple of very tough years, and we're seeing new construction. There are terrific recreational opportunities only minutes away, and it's less than an hour to the hottest shopping and tourism areas on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Boating, camping, fishing, hiking, biking, birding, you name it, there are opportunities here. If you're a higher-income family, Tennessee has no state income tax and the sales taxes, while high, aren't out of sight compared with Alabama or even Kentucky. You're minutes off the interstate, but seem far away from the pressures of the big city. At the same time, you have a very good public utility with a fiber backbone and solid services for work or business. It's small-town life with a proximity to bigger-city amenities. "
