"Nobody knows anyone Some neighborhoods are brotherly and others are distant and less interactive. Knownmsayin? "
  • Trulia User
"the quiet is amazing, and the local restaurants and stores are very nice , there are parks on every direction "
  • Trulia User
"Community gets together when a pet is lost. Also, everyone is respectful of each others property. Neighbors work together. "
  • Trulia User
"There are many families living here, and many good schools in the area. It has a good combination of old and new, and is convenient to visit many fun places around the valley. "
  • Trulia User
"It is very good. There isn't much traffic in the mornings on the way to work. I recommend the area as a good place to settle down."
  • Trulia User
"Granada hills has really gone down hill there are homeless people in tents everywhere, there are drug addicts everywhere and it is filthy now and there’s tents lining Devonshire and balboa where the ralphs market is"
  • Trulia User
"Most dog owners clean up after themselves. Many people walk their dogs. No mask needed - we are outside"
  • Trulia User
"my commute is trecherous at best. l feel like l'm taking my life in my hands everytime i leave my house."
  • France P.

"It’s friendly, it’s safe, it’s clean, nice homes, all ages & a great melting pot. It’s home! Love living here & close to everything! "
  • Evatops
"You’ll always see dogs out with their owners walking and seems like they love to walk in the area. "
  • Marlene O.
"People walk with their dogs around here often. it would be nice to have an off leash park nearby but I dont know of any. Especially not within walking distance."
  • Daddymosley
"The public schools in Granada Hills are great. My children went to Frost and GHCHS, and they are top-ranked schools in LAUSD. "
  • Max S.
"I am a location scout for films in LA and have been for a long time. Most of my friends are also location scouts. Granada Hills has the highest density of scouts living here. Dollar for dollar pound for pound it is the best place to live in the LA area. Omelveny park, and the parks that are connected to it in the nearby mountains is the nicest place in LA to go hiking. Bee Canyony is a great area to walk around in. It is a prosperous neighborhood, egalitarian and diverse. It is a very very extremely easy place to live (I came from Silverlake before this.) There is no traffic and once can go from a living to produce aisle in 5 different markets in 3 minutes. There are lot of different freeways nearby, but not too nearby. Getting around LA from Granada Hills is very easy. It's the best place to live, no crime to speak of."
  • Marlene O.
"I live on the edge of the neighborhood and the area Iive in lands itself to be inhabited by transient, homeless, drug addicted or otherwise unsavory members of society in that the area is adjacent to the fwy and homeless population either live in the greenbelt alongside the freeways or park their RVS in those areas or under the fwy overpasses of which there are many in the areas around Chatsworth Street and Haskell Ave. Worse are the persons who prey on older homeowners overtaking their homes and properties for their own purposes leaving the properties in an unkempt condition bringing the property values down and leaving local older residents in fear of venturing outside their homes for fear of engaging with one of these neighborhood "pirates", for a lack of better terminology for these aforementioned types."
  • Evy A.
"The Knollwood golf course is within a few blocks. Safe to walk both day and night . Great shopping an d private schools nearby."
  • Valerie W.
"this area is a very family oriented do we have Friday night food trucks chance close to all freeways"
  • Dnlrf
"I have lived in this neighborhood most of my life oh, it has been very peaceful until recently. people are using our streets as a drag strip or a drift circuit. our packages have been taken off from our front door step. people are leaving their dog dropping on our front lawn and stealing out plants as well. some of the neighbors are still kind and decent they knock on your door saying that we need to evacuate because the hills near our house are on fire. "
  • Varuj K.
