"There are lots of kids who live in Warren and tons on my block alone!! We have many great neighbors and all watch out for one another. I moved to Warren (grew up in St. Clair Shores) and I fell in love with the city! The police, ambulances and fire trucks are all great and get to any and all emergencies in a timely fashion. Yes there are some crimes, mostly petty things but you will find that in any city you live in. Warren is a very diverse city and believe there is something for everyone here! We have the most amazing parks that are expansive and have tons of choices. The bathrooms at some of the parks are almost always clean. The parks and walking/biking/hiking trails are clean and beautiful. You can find those book houses (read a book, leave a book, or take a book) which is great for all ages with reading. The best part of being a Warren Citizen is the community center!!! I had loved SCS and thought there was no way I would switch, but I’ve rented here 2 years ago and tomorrow my family is meeting my realtor to go see 7 houses all in Warren! The community center gives you a library if u need it at that time, basketball courts? Decent sized exercise gym, a room u can rent for birthdays and lots of other events. The most amazing city swim area you’ll ever find! It has a full pool and some lap lanes a basketball net, then they have a lazy river and also a huge splash pad. They have male and female locker rooms and do not allow any gender into the opposite lock room! A mom cannot take her toddler son into the women’s locker room so they also offer a key code locked family locker room! They offer so many sports programs, swim lessons and multiple more events and organizations you can do! I love Warren and definitely loving it enough that instead of being a person who rents here I will be a Warren HomeOWNER!"
