"It’s a safe community with great schools for the children. People are friendly and welcoming. Grocery store is not the best but we are 20 minutes from Topeka. "

"I moved here around 5 months ago from Franklin County. I have been very happy here. The people are very friendly and welcoming. The schools are great, and the local churches are very involved in serving the wider community. Meriden's proximity to Topeka lends itself to access to all the benefits and resources of Topeka without any of the big city problems."
  • Krisvanmeteren
"I have lived and worked in the Ozawkie area for 11 years. It's a very peaceful, rural area on Lake Perry and yet close to everything. Topeka (state capital) is 20 minutes, Lawrence (home of KU) is 25 minutes and Kansas City is 45 minutes. There are restaurants, gas stations, golf courses, a clinic, a grocery store, marinas and hiking/biking trails all within 5 minutes. The neighborhood is very quiet and secure. Neighbors are close but not right on top of you. Kansas schools are among the best in the nation. Six lots are being sold with the property so a new owner could develop at least four of the others and re-sell them, if desired. On a well maintained blacktop road. High end terraced landscaping. Slate, travertine, granite and hardwood throughout home. Went all out to build a beautiful home on one of the most beautiful lots in Kansas. Work takes me to Kansas City so I need to sell."
