Jefferson West Elementary School

My boys have attended Jeff West since Kindergarten! WE LOVE THIS DISTRICT! The teachers go above and beyond for their students and the district offers lots of programs to their students. Examples include, FCCLA starting in 6th grade!, a science tech camp in the summer, sports programs, lots of different clubs....another cool program is that the 4th graders get to run a concession stand to earn classroom money at 7th grade basketball games. The district does a great job to prepare these kids for the future and to allow them become responsible older students and adults. Yes the middle school has grades 5-8, but that is not a worry....the 5th graders have their own hallway and meal times so they are not around the older students...it is awesome that they get to be in the building with a classroom teacher, but still go to two other 5th grade teachers for two subjects....gets them prepared for 6th grade when they have to go from room to room and teacher to teacher the entire day.....there is a real sense of community not only with in the district, but the town! It is a GREAT place to raise a family!
