This community came together after the hurricane Yes I said the bad word " Hurricane " all helped each other to restore this town, we had Zero Flooding or Damage to our building or unit. We just had a Milestone Inspection by the State of Fla and I had a independent Licensed Contractor conduct a 4 Point Inspection to obtain insurance and we passed with flying colors once I installed a brand New 55 Gallon Water Heater with a warranty. Flood Insurance is NOT required for our unit. We just had a new Metal roof installed that is good for 30 years. We just recently updated the main bathroom with a beautiful walk in tile floor to ceiling shower. Waterfall tile effect, also a huge antifog and dimmable mirror. Also updated the kitchen backsplash to totally accentuate the new cabinets and countertop.
Both bedrooms offer Kingsize beds with new lift top mattress/frames.
Unit has Internet and 3 Smart H.D. Televisions inside and is wired for a wall mounted t.v. on the balcony.

It's a great place to live and raise a family, retire, or just as a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Cedar Key is a charming fishing village and haven for artists of all types. We have an excellent public school educating students from Pre-K to 12th grade. Cedar Key School is currently rated an A school - it feels more like a private school than public. Also, I have always had a sense of safety in our community; it's a place where some people still don't lock their doors. I love our town and the lovely people who live here!"

    "CK is not built up like so much of the Gulf Coast of Florida. It's peaceful but there are some things to do (especially for the outdoors type of person). It's a long way to the WalMart for shopping and some things you take for granted in the cities aren't readily available. If you're a fisherman, a nature lover or a home body this a a great place. If you crave the night life then, for you, this is probably a weekend visit kind of place."
