5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is currently a senior at THEE Whitehaven High School under the leadership of the incomparable Dr. Vincent Hunter. Where do I start? This has been a great experience for my daughter from start to finish! They have so much to offer the students. From their amazing sports program to their million-dollar scholar program and dual enrollment classes. My daughter was very shy and withdrawn when she started at Havenview (the middle school connected to Whitehaven). The teachers are very firsthand, and they will help your child reach their potential if it is a desire of the child. Even if your child is struggling, they will do all they can to help your child. Parent involvement is very important, and you see it a lot at Whitehaven. I am not from Memphis, but they sure make you feel like you are. They are also a community-based organization. WEZ is constantly giving back to their community through community involvement, parent support, and student engagement. Do they have issues with crime, violence etc.? Yes, what school doesn't in the city of Memphis? However, do I feel like my child is safe? Absolutely! Once a Tiger, always a Tiger! Go WHS!!Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 1065 Marlin Rd.

"It’s ok over here. I like the elderly people who are truly amazing. The neighborhood is decent for the most part, I actually feel safe even though it’s lower income in some areas. My kids like to go outside and it’s lots of space to play for them. I still wanna move though. I just want to have more room and a quieter environment. I honestly need a safe place to own a pet. I worry about his safety. "

"I have lived in the Diamond Estates Community for 20 years now and I have never had any problems. Everyone focuses on the upkeep of their home and maintaining their property value. You will not make a bad choice when choosing this community. "

"Our neighborhood is gated and code locked. The Day Estates subdivision is predominantly African American. No crime whatsoever happens behind our gates. We know each neighbor by name. It’s a small community, maybe 20 homes. The owner of the land lives in the neighborhood. The Day Estates should have a much higher property value than its given. "
