HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL! it is AMAZING! Everyone the principal, teachers, therapists, custodians, librarian, all the staff in general greet the students and parents with smiles. The care and attention they give to my son by far exceed any of my expectations. Beyond my happiness with the school is my son’s, which is most important. He cannot wait to leave for school every morning. I am absolutely thrilled to have found an environment that is allowing our son to flourish and preparing him for his future education, while at that same time providing him with tools that will help him succeed in the future. I absolutely love the kids are academically challenged through their STEAM-based learning model and I also loved the Alphabeaths techniques they teach to kids for self-regulation.

We have lived in the Chap feeder area since 2008, and all three of our sons have attended Chaparral, with one still enrolled there. Our children are academically diverse, and we can share our experiences with AP courses, general education, and mild to moderate special education, all have been exceptional.Our boys have participated in various sports and extracurricular clubs, and they have attended sporting events, musicals, and cheer and dance competitions to support their fellow Chaparral students. Chaparral has been everything we hoped for— a place where they can excel academically with the support of caring staff.Additionally, the school offers opportunities to engage with the community through events like Wish Week and canned food drives. It provides a diverse environment where students learn and grow alongside peers of different abilities and backgrounds. Chaparral is a place where students develop meaningful connections with staff, which contributes to their growth as emerging adults and learners. They are well-prepared for whatever they choose to pursue next. Our sons decided to attend college and have often expressed that they feel well-equipped for their college courses because of the education they received at Chaparral.

This is where all my mental problems started. So the teachers…you can obviously tell that they have favorites. Advanced classes are the same thing as regular classes..? Counselors tell you to get therapy instead of providing help that you can access. Fights every week. Principal doesn’t allow halloween costumes or any fun celebrations. Security harasses you if you’re not known in the school but are handicapped. I’ve seen multiple special education students on stage during lunch being used to promote some sort of thing even though they clearly didn’t want to be up on stage. It’s overall just a stupid little school. Also the plumbing is horrific. I hate this school, and i wish i was homeschooled.
