8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI've got two students at Tubman (rising 3rd grader, rising 1st grader), and have been at the school since my oldest was in kindergarten. I have been so impressed with the quality of instruction, the community engagement, and the parent support. Test scores never tell the full story of a school - but I can also say that academically, my children are advancing very well each year, and are incredibly supported in doing so by their teachers. I also know that the whole the school saw incredible growth in our 2025 scores (some of which won't be published until fall 2025). On top of that, the school is wall to wall IB, and as such has a strong focus on social and emotional learning. I can see the growth in my kids emotionally and socially (equally if not more important to being a successful & well rounded adult who positively impacts the world). Tubman also has a fine arts focus - which means 2-3 times per year, I get to see my kids on stage, performing a dance or a skit - even if they choose not to participate in the school musical. The whole student body is so supportive of these performances, and the confidence building I've seen not just in my kids but in their classmates is really stark. The principal and admin staff work incredibly well with the teachers, and the parent community is engaged - with everyone working to support students in the best ways we can, and there is a strong bias across the board of collaboration and continued improvement. I had never heard of Tubman before I started investigating kindergarten options a few years ago - but I'm so glad to have landed here. It's a gem!Parent Review11mo ago40 Reviews - Lincoln Park High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDon’t go to lp if you care about your education. There are some AMAZING teachers but only 1/6 of your teachers will be good. A lot of my time at school was not spent learning or doing anything. There is a lack of structure and nothing is enforced, which was technically a benefit, but also had bad effects. There are pros and cons and I have very mixed feelings about my experience at Lincoln park. I felt like I had a lot of freedom but the school itself feels so much like prison. Many many issues with schedules, the actual schedule itself is terrible because its the same 8 classes everyday. Ive had both 3rd and 7th period lunch and it was miserable having to be starving all day. It feels very self directed and you can do whatever you want. THERE ARE CONSTANTLY SCANDALS AND INCIDENTS. I find it comedic and entertaining at this point but there are so many things going on. Lincoln park IS a fun high school but only if you are social and have friends. Administration is really just lacking in so many areas. This school is A JOKEEE but I love it. Hate it tho. Idk. I wouldn’t want to go to lane or jones or anywhere else though!!!!!Other Review3y ago34 Reviews - Check out schools near 1047 W Wolfram St #2.

"It’s a heavily dog friendly city, and some owners are extremely responsible and some are not. I would caution any large green space may mean off leash dogs who are either trained very well or not at all"

"I’ve lived here for 2 years total (1 year in 2019, and this year 2024). Areas fun but pretty expensive. Surprisingly a lot of great asian food but lacking a solid pizza spot. Over fine to live here, but wouldn’t be living hear if I wasn’t lucky enough to have scored a cheap apartment "

"The HOA is a downside of having this aera your neighbors are too close. Keeping your kids out of the lake or drowning would be a construct reminder"

"There is still a lot of original character and flavor in this neighborhood. Still host to several well-established ethnic / cultural minority residents, whose language and foods flow through the air at any restaurant or cafe, perfuming the ambiance with enough spice to attract both locals and foreign alike."
