  • David Cooter
"We go to the American Legion in Jacksonville Beach, the beach for fun, bars and travel to the surrounding areas for fun. Love challenge 22 rides and boots on the ground. Bike week in Daytona "
  • David Cooter
"The community is nice. Neighborhoods are quiet and being close to the beach is great. It’s secure in comparison to the rest of the city. Worth the commute to the city or south side. About 30 minutes in any direction from offices "
  • David Cooter
"Good area mostly because it’s pretty safe and close to the beach. Neighborhood isn’t friendly to neighbors. People aren’t courteous and kids vandalized my property. "
  • Trulia User
"Keep their dog on a leash and not have viscous dogs clean up after their dogs keep their dogs away from children in "
  • Trulia User
"I live near everything I could possibly need. There are also public bus routes that run in this area."
  • Trulia User
"Proximity to all major shopping and events in Jax. 3 miles from the beaches Short bike ride to Neptune beach and Jax beach"
  • Trulia User
"Close proximity to Neptune Beach restaurants, all big name retailers and grocery stores. Hannah Park is right down the road and centra enough to get to all major Jax culture & entertainment in 20 min "
  • Christina2496
"This is a great neighborhood, family friendly, plenty of restaurants and close to the beaches. There a plenty of parks and lite sidewalks. "
  • Robin4peace .
"My commute to St Johns County is 40-50 minutes in moderate traffic., longer in rush hour that’s too much driving for me"
  • Christina2496
"It is very dog friendly. There are dog parks in the area. There are sidewalks for easy dog walking. "
  • Elizabeth V.
"I love the schools the neighborhood is great and the crime rate is low I would definitely recommend this neighborhood to someone "
  • Jo B
"None, except the local habits that have become like an institution: private impromptu fireworks at the boat dock every July 4, but can also sit on the dock and watch numerous displays up and down the intracoastal sans the crowds and traffic; golf carting to a friend’s house with a cooler. But mostly just quiet, each to his or her own. It’s wonderful."
  • RCC
"Jacksonville is a large geographic area and North Beach doesn’t have easy access to freeways. Commuting is not fun. "
  • Mamalawlawlaw
"Besides being within ez walking distance to elementary and middle school, there are many outdoor ways to connect with nature in this area, including Modesky Park and the Oak Harbor boat ramp and park, where you can bird watch, or put in a canoe or kayak to row the marked trails. So much nature to experience here. Is it perfect for everyone? Probably not. But it was perfect for me and my kids. From 1998 to now, and now it’s a great place to ease into retirement. No demanding HOA. Key to why we love this very unique and somewhat, in a beautiful way, eccentric neighborhood. If you’re not an average Jo, you may love this place as much as I have these last 25 years. "
  • Jo B.
"Specifically regarding the Oak Harbor subdivision: If you enjoy simple, outdoor activities with young children (picnic, walk, bike, fish, swing, etc.), Oak Harbor is fabulous. Creative teens can also find plenty to do, but if they go looking for trouble, they can find that here as well, almost as easily. High school is a real trek, but elementary and middle school are super convenient. So pros & cons, for sure, like everywhere. I think it’s a perfect place for young folks on a budget with young kids to get started (and no HOA—good for creative homeowners!)"
  • Jessica C.
"No committee events or block parties or anything like that but at least you won't get shot here................"
  • Jessica C.
"It feels safe enough for a single mom like me to live with my 2 children and not have to worry about buying too many guns."
  • Jessica C.
"The schools are good, there are many parks, the beach is close, and violent crime is rare so it feels very safe."
  • Chan W.
"Great neighborhood but be mindful of speeding drivers and make sure your children(youth/Teens) use the sidewalks when on a main road. "
  • Renee E. H.
"I have lived here for 3 years and love the tranquility of this neighborhood . people are friendly and it doesn't hurt having seafood restaurants so close. the ferry to little Talbot island is only 2 miles up the road. "
  • Carmen
"checking out the area. not sure if it's a good fit. first time visiting in the area, looks cozy, and popping at the same time."
  • Lisa F.
"This is a Navy and fishing community. Lots Of families and close knit people. We feel safe and welcome"
