5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAttending this school caused irreparable damage to my mental health. Thankfully I graduated last June despite failing nearly all my classes. Teachers and Staff are generally unconcerned with the mental health/wellbeing of students. I had such a hard time my senior year and tried to reach out for help but I felt like I was not taken seriously. There are a few teachers in this school that are absolutely wonderful and determined to teach students in a way they understand and enjoy, but in general the teachers really seemed to just hate their jobs and students. Bullying and harassment is largely ignored and enabled by staff. Most of the time students will get a slap on the wrist for sexual harassment, which I faced more than once at this school. I would not recommend sending your children here. The environment is disgusting, the school doesn't even have ceilings. There are roaches, black mold, and rats. Most of the school funds go towards renovating the gym rather than repairing the school. The auditorium has the same seats from when the room was built and the sound systems are broken. I am very glad to be graduated but it took everything in me to keep going. Please choose a different school.Other Review1y ago7 Reviews - Morehead Elementary At Camp Glenn

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool is old, so you can hear noise from the classroom next door. My experience our 1st year has not been great. There’s been no parent teacher conferences, lack of communication, & doesn’t seem very family oriented. I don’t feel kids are being set up for success at this school. Kids get screamed at by teachers then other teachers laughing about it. I was at lunch visiting my son & the cafeteria was not that loud & they turned the lights out on students to be silent. It’s the only break they get from learning. These are still elementary school children & it’s like they’re treated like middle schoolers.Parent Review2mo ago1 Reviews - Morehead City Primary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMCPS has been awesome so far! It's my little girls first year at the school and we were so blessed to have gotten the teachers she has! Mrs.Hassler and Mrs.Johner are both amazing and are some of the very best in my opinion! I don't think she could have gotten a better kindergarten teacher or teacher assistant! They are caring, passionate about actually teaching and making sure my little one is above where she needs to be!! She loves going to school and loves learning! The staff there at MCPS are amazing as well! Special classes such as art, music, pe, etc. have pretty awesome teachers as well!! Ms. Carol at the front is a super sweet and beautiful hearted person and she shows love to the kids every day!! My sweet girl loves her!! So far, I am very pleased and content with my little girl being there! She had made huge progress just in the first half of the year and I can't wait to see what all she is capable of the second half!! I Def recommend this school!Parent Review2y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 104 Third #G-3.

"The apartment I live at does NOT allow pets. Thankfully, I have a registered support dog and she is allowed here. People who have dogs in this community pick up after their animals."
