Has a great gifted program and that's about it. Most teachers here don't last very long but the ones that do are pretty good. There's a specific gifted english teacher that I can't name and I don't know how they're still teaching there but that's about it.The current principal is cool I guess, but the assistant principals are power hungry and love to hand out major punishments for little things and target the kids they don't like. I swear there are hooligans running around cussing at adults who tell them to walk, failing all their classes, screaming slurs (I think you know which one specifically), always late, and getting into fights. You know who the AP would rather give detention/referral to? Some random kid who was sitting quietly at lunch but ohhhh someone near them was talking during "silent lunch" (which is stupid also), you know what that means? That kid must have been talking too and the entire table deserves ABS, which means you come to school at 1:30 PM and stay in the detention room until 5:30 PM. There is very obvious favouritism in staff decisions and it seems they don't really like to accommodate for the gifted kids too much, they're just kinda an afterthought.I feel like a great way to start improving this school is to actually punish the troublemakers, don't you guys get tired of telling the same kids off every single day? Most of the administrators constantly lie and make broken promises and talk about how you'll punish kids and send them to different schools blah blah, THEN DO IT ALREADY.

i’ll be a junior next year and i’ve already faced more homophobia and ableism than i have in my 16 years of living.

My daughter has special needs, she has attended for four years now. She absolutely loves the school and the staff. Her teachers are a great encouragement and the academic program is great. The teachers are truly invested in my daughter’s education and her growth as learners. Adjustments are made as needed to meet the needs of the student. Also teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed. Education has been a very positive experience for our family. If you want to give your child(ren) a stellar education while they are nurtured to be their best, most confident selves then I encourage you to seek out this school! Thank you!
