What Locals Say about Fossil Park

  • Rose Z
"I have lived in Fossil Park for 2 years and I love it. while it is only 4.5 miles to downtown and easily accessible to beaches, airports, and Tampa, it is a quiet and friendly neighborhood. There is an eclectic blend of homes, but the majority are small homes built in he 50's and 60's with many recently updated. The park and recreation center are great! Neighbors are friendly and it absolutely adds a hometown neighborhood feel within this beautiful city! "

"We have community pantry for residents that need a little extra help and we have holiday meals and contests every year. We also communicate with neighbors to make sure everyone has what they need and nobody’s going without anything. We also take care of the animals in our community, we have a lot of stray cats, so we utilize the TNR program and try to get as many adopted as possible and the ones we can’t, we all chip in to feed and care for them. "
  • Amber S.
"Very family friendly, not usually loud music and very safe feeling. Feel a little tucked away but Central to everything still!"
  • Velasjorge
" My neighborhood has great access to public transportation and the commute to downtown is a little difficult because 4th street is very crowded most days. Besides the velocity at which cars go is a little over the advised velocity. People who drive in the advised velocity have to travel in the low velocity lane where there are two lines of buses stopping in their stop signs. So the trek downtown becomes a trip of following the buses if you want to respect the velocity advised. In general people tend to drive at a much higher velocity than the velocity advised which mAkes for risky trips.. "
