Description

Tudor style tri-level on one of the largest lots in the City of Delafield. Custom built in 1970, there are 3 bedrooms on the main level, a full bath with whirlpool tub, double vanity, and full shower, and a laundry room with back door. Also on main level is a living/dining room with fireplace, and patio doors. Triple thermopane window overlooks a conservancy behind the house. (Front doorway into house was redone with Pella sidelight windows and new door. All outside entry doors into the house are also Pella.) 4-steps up from main level is an eat in kitchen, fully remodeled 2005 with cherry cabinetry and granite countertops, along with all stainless appliances and a double oven. Off the kitchen is a half-bath, another back door, and garage entry. Upstairs is a large family room area, another full fireplace (both are wood burning), and a master bedroom with dressing area, small walk-in closet, and a bathroom with shower. Foyer is slate, kitchen floor is ceramic tile, and carpeting in rest of the house. Basement fully remodeled 2004 to include a music/exercise room, large storage area, bathroom with shower, storage rooms, kitchen area, and theatre area. The house has dual-zone heating and cooling with A/C units replaced in 2015 and 2017. Both furnaces replaced with high efficiency versions in late 2018. Massive plumbing project done in 2018 as well in rerouting some pipes from the kitchen end of house. Two sections of roof were replaced in 2020, and the third was done in 2015. There is a transferrable warranty on the 2020 roofing materials and labor. All three attic areas had additional insulation blown in between 2017 and 2020. Eleven of 13 windows were replaced between 1997 and 2019, all with Marvin Windows, the best in the business. There is private, deeded lake access at the end of Nagawicka Street and Nagawicka Lake, shared with 11 other properties, and a pier is located the site. These properties are all part of the Delawicka Shores pier association and pay annual dues for the upkeep and maintenance of the property and pier. While Zillow "zestimates" might take into account properties that have lake frontage and/or riparian rights, it is not thought the "zestimates" include additional value for having deeded lake access. In addition, this particular property has a buildable lot to the south of the house that would have lake rights and could be split off/sold. Laterals to the city sewer are not included or installed. Please note: Zillow reports this home sold in December 1998 for $6,500. That reporting by Zillow is incorrect. The homeowners split off an extension of the next door lot and sold to the neighbors so they could build a garage. This home has been under constant ownership since 1989 by the current owners.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.

The community is close to shopping, golfing, sailing, cross country skiing, bike trails and more – yet still has a small town atmosphere. Residents of Delafield have a private boat launch available on Nagawicka Lake for an annual fee. Nagawicka Park is a county park with a really great beach, boat launch, camping, acres of hiking and picnic areas great for summer days. The Hwy 83 interchange boasts a collection of department stores, a variety of specialty shops, an array of restaurants, and friendly accommodations for the overnight visitors. The 7,000 residents of Delafield are never short on things to do – boating, fishing, skiing, Delafield Library events, biking, Lapham Peak State Park hiking, dining at the Seven Seas or Golden Mast Restaurant on the lake or the many other restaurants in town, enjoying the many city parks, visiting the Nagawicka Yacht Club and skating at the indoor ice rink.
