Description

The perfect spot for Mercer Law students - Coleman Hill Cottage Apartments - just across from Mercer Law School. This roommate floor plan provides flexibility. Two Bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and walk-in closets. A third room has a standard closet and a full bath just up the hall - So it can be used either as a study/den, or as a bedroom for a third roommate.
This quiet, spacious apartment has plenty of natural light, plus vintage charm with modern systems - including a great HVAC system, & full sized Washer/Dryer in the apartment. Nice kitchen, handsome flooring, good sized windows. There's easy, well lit street parking in front of the house. And behind the house, a shady covered patio is for tenant use.
It's one of two apartments in this owner occupied, circa 1897 Historic Home on friendly Bond Street. It has been home to law school students for decades (who get to sleep in and walk to class!)
Bond Street runs in a two block arc between Georgia, Orange, and College Streets. It's always been a favorite of law students, professors, med students, lawyers and medical professionals. Located in the College Hill InTown Historic district - you're just steps away from Coleman Hill Park and Downtown Macon.
Fellow law students live next door, in the other apartment, and also in other rentals along Bond Street. 1023 Bond Street sits next to Mercer Law School. And, it's responsive owner addresses any repair issues quickly.
Freshly cleaned and painted, it's available for your July/August move in.

Screening criteria:: Preference given to Mercer Law & Med students. Satisfactory credit, and positive rental history.

Owner pays for trash service, yard maintenance, pest control.

Water, gas, electricity and internet are metered separately for each apartment and paid for by tenants. The apartment is wired so that either ATT or Cox can be selected as an internet provider.

Highly recommend renter's insurance. It's not very expensive when added onto your existing home or auto insurance. However, Renters Insurance is required when/if landlord approves you to have a pet.

There is easy street parking in front of the house on Bond Street.

No smoking in the apartments, but is allowed on back patio.

Pets must be approved by landlord ahead of time.
Pet fee/deposit of $350 ($150 is refundable).

Please report needed repairs or any other issues "in time" so landlord can address these right away.

Lease is typically 12 months, August 1 through July 30, as tenants are primarily Mercer Law students.
In 2026 the 1023 apartment will be available a little early, in July.

In March, landlord typically asks tenants about renewing the lease for the coming year (so all of us can make plans for the coming year).
