7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had created this as a Google review, but after speaking to another student who shared their experience with the same bully of a teacher giving the middle finger to a person IN the classroom (who was a student at the time), I wanted to reach out more on other platforms.“Some teachers cared, which I appreciated. But the main point of my review was to make notice of my terrible 1st year at this school due to one teacher. I wasn’t a troublemaker. I was merely a quiet kid sitting in the back. I couldn’t speak up to the office or demand a new teacher. I was too shy. As I got older and graduated college, I now feel the confidence to speak up. I don’t want to call anyone out though. I would just like the school to be aware of what their teachers are doing in hopes of improving. Making us run in the snow during gym is whatever. Having a bloody nose and being given zero help, then told “Don’t get any blood on the new gym floor!” - I don’t care. But one teacher targeted me for reasons such as “she’s quiet”, but I believe I was racially targeted or singled out. Talking about me to classrooms of students (ones I wasn’t even in), making me present a play early and telling all students BUT ME. Not to mention my given role was a chubby girl with no friends?? Now that was just cruel. Having years of experience at a school does NOT give them the right to basically harass students who aren’t able to defend themselves, then laugh about it with the student’s fellow peers. I felt isolated and my grades and mental health plummeted from there. It wasn’t until senior year of hs that I appreciated education more. I would like to thank Ms. Notriano for giving me a huge interest in psychology and giving me the strength to continue my studies. Because of her, I have a minor in psychological research and am now maintaining a 4.0 gpa while studying for my MPH degree. Thank you, Ms. Notriano.I do not wish for any justice or hate toward the teacher. I just hope staff will support their students the best they can. For any future or current students, please do not hesitate to speak up. And also, consider taking AP psych. She makes the class so much fun!”Other Review1y ago - Peter J Palombi School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe loved this school. The teachers and staff were all professional and caring. They did a great job with balancing fun and learning! My kids were excited to go to school everyday and to me that's what makes a great school. The PTA is incredible and very involved. Any problems we did have they were always handled quickly and efficiently and they were great with communicating. This has been one of our favorite schools that my children have attended.Parent Review7y ago - Check out schools near 101 W Honeysuckle Dr.

"You absolutely need a car in order to get around. There isn’t a bus stop near my home nor in walking distance. Putting more bus stops near the area would be more than helpful to those who reside here. If not bus stops, offering ride share stops"

"There's many families with kids, there are parks, forest preserves and beaches the whole family will love. the only problem I have is how fast people go down my 25 mph street. with kids around that could be dangerous and it happens a loottt!!!"

"We have any shop or restaurant you can imagine but not a big sense of community. Our neighboring communities have many events to get the citizens involved but not Round Lake Beach. It could be the lack of informative measures."
