3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy second child to attend the UHS/UMS schools is a sr this year. Our experience over the past 8 plus years has been far from positive. Our oldest has gone on to do well but I would say it was in spite of his experience at UHS. It is disappointing to see people focus on diversity and inclusivity when the actual education is so poor. A child will not gain knowledge because the classroom they are in is diverse or inclusive. The Stats on this site for the MS and HS paint a clear picture of how the school is failing its students. Both my children had bullying issues in both facilities. Luckily they were capable (taught) to stand up to the situation because the staff/admin have a disciplinary bias and that seldom results in corrective action. UMS/UHS are not as bad as some of the other area schools but that is not saying much. If you have a child in this school system you should stay diligently active and attentive to their experience and progress.Parent Review4y ago - Urbana Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers, curriculum, and supportive environment are world class. Appreciate how students come from all over the area to this school, where all have an opportunity to engage. Excellent options for extracurriculars, and the faculty really care. My kid is well prepared to go into high school, and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of education and commitment by educators, especially as compared to previous experiences in private schools.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 1004 N 6th St.
