About this House

This completely updated and modern geodesic dome with 100' of private river access less than 100 paces off the back deck embodies the Colorado dream. Located in Bailey, CO with easy access from highway 285 and just an hour from downtown Denver, this two bedroom and three bath, 1930 square foot home with two car garage is move-in ready. Backing to open space and the north fork of the South Platte river, this open concept and energy efficient house with soaring 25'-ceilings is in the Platte Canyon School district, one of the most highly rated districts in the metro area. Relax and take in the views from a private wood-fired cedar soaking tub and a sauna on the river -- It's like having your own hot springs!

Sitting on an acre of private, flat, usable land, there's something for the entire family. You'll have room to garden and plenty of room for the kids to stretch their legs. Highly-accommodating for a dog owner, it has a large private, fenced yard for your pooches along with dog doors and two separate and secure dog kennels. If hiking's your thing, you're in for a treat: Colorado's newest state park, Staunton, is less than 15 minutes away and Kenosha pass, one of the most heralded spots to watch the leaves change, is 15 minutes in the opposite direction. In the winter, avoid I-70 by taking the back route to Breckenridge -- It's a beautiful and far less congested drive!
The master suite has been completely updated with slick Ikea wardrobes and has an attached nursery or small office. The incredibly unique master suite bathroom features high-end travertine tile and a killer stainless steel Japanese soaking tub with rain shower. While the master suite is large enough to accommodate a king sized bed, the second bedroom comfortably accommodates a queen sized bed.
The kitchen, with ample storage and counterspace, has been mostly updated and has a stainless steel refrigerator and dishwasher and a newer, clean glass cook top. The house has an inspired, modern and functional design, including plenty of storage, a front entry closet and a utility room with washer and dryer, second refrigerator and pantry.
Flexible availability around May 1. Year-long lease with first month rent and deposit required. Please have decent credit and no criminal background. A $50 application fee will cover the costs of performing a credit and criminal background check. No growers or smokers, please.

"It’s not too bad. Summer Fridays is usually pretty busy going up the hill with all the campers and Sunday mornings is crazy with campers heading home. "
  • Jim.tyler2009
"Dog owners should love this area. So many hiking areas. Lots of dogs. Parks recreation areas and dog friendly people. The wildlife can be of serious concern to dog owners so it’s a place to be on constant guard of your pets. Mountain Lions, Bear and coyote have all been seen in the area. There does not seem to be any cats here. Just dogs. Probably best that small dogs be watched at a high level. "

  • Decker903
"Wildlife, and calmness of the mountains mixed with the feeling is a close nit community. There is a learning curve for people coming from a city atmosphere."
  • Nick W.
"A mountain town if there ever was one! Gorgeous place to live, just be ready to commute for most things. Definitely need a car that handles well in the snow."
  • Susan B.
"absolutely gorgeous mountain living with wildlife on properties only 35 minutes from Denver"
  • jtdayusa
"Incredible views with a sky full of stars at night. Great energy here."
  • sam s.
"Great area for work at home people, also a opportunity for mechanic, cabinet maker or any one who wants privacy and a bif insulated shop to make a living and only have a 100 ft commute. The roads are maintained all year so when you do need to get into town there is no problems. If you are into hiking, biking, wildlife or just peace and quiet all you have to do is walk out your front door. the community has three stocked fishing lakes and a community center with a park for the little ones.
