"people almost daily walk their dogs, up and down the sidewalks, they seem to always wave to say hello too. anytime I've asked to pet a dog they have always been kind and said yes and the dog has always been very friendly "

"Altoona is very unique. It has all different types of people. Some areas are worse than others. But you have your good and bad I feel as if it’s like that with any location. "

"The neighborhood is fairly close. We all look out for each other’s property. A couple blocks in a direction and the houses are mostly in need or repair."

"Upper Fairview is a wonderful location. With Penn State Altoona, Altoona Hospital, Station Medical Center, and Juniata businesses within walking distance, we have enjoyed our first year of home ownership here immensely. The neighbors are quiet and friendly, and the homes and yards are neatly maintained, many with pretty flowers and shrubbery. The taxes are surprisingly low for all the amenities the city provides. "
