"Great place to live. Been here 22 years raised four kids in this area. Very much a community feel. Want more land but gonna stay in the area. "
    • Darrell.betterson
"Low crime and plenty of open space for children to play ( parks, soccer fields and schools ). The area is great to raise a family and and purchase a first home."
    • Darrell.betterson
"The neighborhood is generally rural with less automobile traffic than an urban area. Recently, the State of South Carolina has instituted a penny tax to add more sidewalks in our neighborhood and they being constructed now. Most neighbors are friendly and will try to contact you if your dog is running loose in the neighborhood. The local county parks are well suited for dog walking. There are wide walk paths and generally are well lighted. The small community is encapsulated with many smaller subdivision that are well suited for walking dogs for long walks. Hopkins is situated approximately 10 east of the Columbia urban and suburban are which makes easily accessible to veterinarians and emergency animal hospitals."
    • Beingbeckie
"10 minutes from downtown. Ten miles outside of Columbia, Capitol city of South Carolina. Two hours to the beAch, two hours to the mountains."
    • Godhouse5
"I've lived in this neighborhood for 17+ years. My original neighbors are friendly homeowners and most has been here for over 12 years. Other homes are rentals owned by military personnel formerly stationed in the area or investors. Most of the residents are families with kids, middle age extended families, or retired military. "
    • Godhouse5
"I have quick access to the surrounding interstates and main highways to commute to work, school, church, and various shopping locations."
    • Godhouse5
"My neighborhood has easy access to the interstate, main roads, and retail stores. Additionally, many options are available to access other neighbors and subdivisions."
    • Chase S.
"People walk their dogs all the time and almost every house has dogs in the neighborhood. We personally own 4 dogs and have always had dogs and I have lived here for 19 years."
    • KB
"I believe they would like the open space and almost everyone around is a pet owner. That in turn makes the neighborhood a candidate for free living kind people who take the more private or semi secluded approach to life "
    • Beingbeckie
"It is a quiet, peaceful farming community. There is a air national guard base nearby, an army fort and it is only 10 miles from the state capital."
    • Jstanford30
"Some people are friendly, others can be standoffish. I’ve never had problems in this quiet family neighborhood. People have get together and you dont have to worry about noise complaints, everyone is respectful enough to keep things from getting out of hand"
    • Jstanford30
"There’s several families with dogs, they’re welcome in this area. Plenty of places to walk a dog in the neighborhood and a park is just down the street "
