"dogs are allowed to run over area without a leash. Many have died on train tracks that run thru area. dog owners don't care about dog poop in their yards etc."

"We are so small that the Greyhiund busses don't even run/stop here anymore. No taxi, No bus, and No trolleys. We are in the rural, broke, small community where everyone drives alone or by business destination."

"The Ark is very close, Williamstown lake and Webb park as well. Theres a derby day celebration with a parade and a Christmas parade with activities."
    • Proudmommy1203
"I see people walking their dogs all the time and they’re always friendly. There’s a lot of sidewalk and other walk ways for them to walk. "
    • Pandm4kids
"The Ark is 2 minutes from town. The local park has tennis courts and picnic area. We are minutes to the interstate."
    • Mona L.
"Small, hometown friendliness. Great schools and neighbors!"
    • LorrieSchumacher
"I was born and raised in the kenton/boone area. In 1997 we moved here to get away from all the crime, traffic, and congestion. I first moved to Williamstown, then to Dry Ridge, finally buying a home in Jonesville and I have lived here over 12 years. The Cons: You have to own/drive a car everywhere-there is no public transportation and we live on the outskirts of town. This is a "moist" county-which means only a couple of restaurants serve alcohol. No bars and you cant buy in stores. The entertainment in the area consists of outdoor activities like boating/fishing/hiking. You will have to drive 25-30 miles to get to other activities. Pros: Super friendly and helpful neighbors and community. Traffic/Parking almost never an issue. The majority of people take care of their properties. Low crime. Great schools. No bars-yeah it can be a pro because you dont have the issues associated with drinking. SuperWalmart-lol everyone loves it here and the prices are great. The Parks-we have some great parks that are family friendly. We are in the center of everything-we are about 40-50 miles or less from Covington/Cincinnati, Lexington, Louisville and the KY speedway. Enjoyable driving. We may have to drive a little farther to get to other things, but when you factor in that the drive is usually fast and easy, compared with other areas, it will win out. I would rather spend 30 mins driving on the highway or beautiful country roads, than stuck in traffic or constant lights or worrying when there's gonna be a wreck cause people are driving crazy. So, here it is: If you are looking for a great place to raise a family-this is it. If you are looking for a great place to retire-this is it. If you are single or a couple looking for excitement and nite time activities-this is NOT it. Welcome Home to Grant County "
