6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the worst school my child has attended, both academically and in terms of student safety. My 9-year-old daughter was physically assaulted by multiple students while riding the school bus. This occurred during school-supervised transportation, yet there was a failure to immediately protect her or properly intervene. As a result, my child was injured, required hospital treatment, a police report was filed, and legal representation was retained.Beyond safety concerns, the academic environment has also been consistently disappointing. There is a lack of consistency, accountability, and effective support for students. Communication with staff has not resulted in meaningful improvement. No parent should fear for their child’s safety at school, nor feel concerned about the quality of education being provided. Based on our experience, this school has failed in both areas.I strongly urge parents to carefully consider other options and to advocate strongly for their children if they are enrolled here. Student safety and academic standards must be taken seriously.Parent Review3mo ago9 Reviews - Port St. Lucie High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is actually one of the worst high schools especially as far as athletics. The current coach charity is absolutely awfulThere is so much favoritism. She has captain and Co captains that can’t even participate. She picked them because they came to her room and helped her with her special-needs children. My girls have went out of their way to do fundraisersAnd never rewarded. But now because they couldn’t give the coach emails to send people emails for a fundraiser they get treated bad. My daughters had a hard time filling out their packet for weightlifting. She refused to help them.Kick them out of the group chat after we already paid. And I’m sure are going to refuse to give us the money back Barnwell always sides with her She honestly has no clue how to coachIf you were thinking about doing girls weightlifting, I would think twice unless you are going to be right there to be at the coaches back in call because that’s the only way you’re gonna be treated fairThere’s other factors as far as things have happened to my daughter, but I do not wish to put that on social media.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Parkway Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a community member, I see that the staff and administrators at Parkway are phenomenal with the students. They work tirelessly to help student a make gains and build in social-emotional time to help counteract the negative ascents of bullying. They teach see something, say something. They also use social emotional time to have emotional check is with students and validate their feelings. Lessons from Sanford Harmony are provided for each grade level to help build a single school culture. Great things are happening and academic gains are being made. It is taking time, but it is happening. Don’t discount this school, it’s staff, and especially it’s students.Other Review4y ago9 Reviews - Southport Middle School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers don't seem to care about their students, and the entire class faces consequences for the mistakes of a few. Bullying isn't taken seriously, while minor issues like chewing gum are prioritized.Students with mental health problems, such as depression, often don't get the support they need. The principal and vice principal are rarely nice to students but may act pleasant to parents. The school's facilities are outdated, and resources are limited. Classrooms lack modern technology, and the library has a poor selection of books. Extracurricular activities are lacking and poorly organized. Communication between the school and parents is often poor, with important information not being shared in a timely manner. The curriculum feels outdated and doesn't prepare students adequately for higher education. There is a lack of emphasis on critical thinking and creativity. Standardized testing is overly prioritized, creating a stressful environment for students. The school's approach to discipline is also problematic. Instead of fostering a positive atmosphere, the administration relies heavily on punitive measures that don't address the root causes of behavioral issues. This can be particularly damaging for students with unique needs or those facing personal challenges.Support for students with autism is inadequate. The lack of specialized programs and trained staff means these students often don't receive the attention and assistance they need to thrive. The school fails to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) effectively, leading to frustration for students with autism and their families. If a student is defending themselves against another student who is about to hurt them, they are likely to get in trouble. This policy discourages students from standing up for themselves and creates an environment where students feel unsafe and unsupported. Moreover, if you stand up for yourself or your friends who didn't do anything, you might get in trouble, especially if your friends have mental health problems like trauma. The school seems to punish students for actions that teachers verbally encourage, adding to confusion and stress. One of the only nice people at the school is the nurse. She shows genuine care and concern for the students, offering much-needed support. Students can also get in trouble for something someone else does, which is incredibly frustrating and unfair.Parent Review1y ago18 Reviews - Check out schools near A1A #5-2.

"YCC organizes both club and neighborhood events for non-club members. The neighborhood is primarily retirees with a small group of families with kids ranging from baby to high school-aged. Everyone is very nice and the neighborhood is perfectly manicured. "

"Great area and neighborhood, it’s gated and we have a HOA that keeps all aligned in a good way. Stuart is growing which is the sad part. What once was an easy trip into town now has become a 30 minute or more excursion. Within 5 square miles 8 new gas stations and over 500 homes. Traffic and lights are now similar to Jupiter and West Palm. My estimate Staurt will be like West Palm, DeRey and Boca if not a Miami traffic mess. City planning board seems to have sold out and allowing clear cutting for new home developments. In the mean time Staurt still maintains its small town qualities so fingers crossed it doesn’t become the place we then all want to leave."

"After living in a big city most of my life I find that the somewhat sleepy Stuart has the perfect medium as it offers the small town close knit community feel of a small town but also has loads of shopping and restaurants that you would find in a larger city. Stuart/Port Salerno is also a stones throw away from awesome beaches as well as larger cities with abundant nightlife. "
