"Somonauk isn’t the most unique town, but it’s very comfortable. Really small too, it has a great restaurant in town, and Lake Holiday is a beautiful neighborhood within 2 min of town "

"Lake Holiday because of the swimming and boating, you can live in town but still have a country feel. Great schools in both Somonauk and Sandwich."
  • Beernuts120
"We have a lake and you can swim and fish and they tell you what to do with your yard and dogs and you can’t put up garage sale signs or for sale signs and sometimes they get in your business "
  • Jennifer
"There is a fenced in dog park available and places for the dogs to swim in the lake. Resident’s regularly solicit for dog friends to join them at the dog park for play dates in social media. "

  • Deb C.
"Best of all: Location, location, location! Perfectly located at the edge of town so you can walk to many of the areas in town. Also across from Somonauk Park which has paved walking trails and lots of green! Friendly neighborhood and town. Meet everyone at the summer block party, the Memorial Day parade and BBQ, Somonauk Summerfest in July or at any of the town’s or school’s events. Subdivision located about 5 blocks off of Route 34/Ogden Avenue so it's an easy trip to most anywhere. Five minutes to Sandwich, about 15 minutes to Plano with Super WalMart, 20 minutes to Yorkville with Target, Home Depot, Jewel and more.
