What Locals Say about Shepherd

  • Trentwilson680
"I have lived in this area for over five years and like the area it’s small town home life neighbors are nice and willing to help another neighbor in need. If you are like that or about living that life while surrounded by farms and fields you will like it here like I do. Depending where in shepherd you can walk/run or jog on walking trail provided to the public or if you’re outside of the village you can find some hunting if allowed by farmers in the area or can go take kids to the towns splash pad at the village park. It’s a great small town with great people and I’ll live here and raise my family here for sure it’s peaceful and hope it stays that way too. "

"There is ICTC for public transit as needed. Mt Pleasant is 10-15 minute drive depending in which part of town you are going to."

"Where I live you must own a vehicle to get around. The county does a fair job of keeping up the roads. There is IRide buses but they do not always come out this way, especially in inclement weather."
