What Locals Say about Grand

  • Kaine Z.
"residential streets aren't very well lit from dusk til dawn, also there are 4-ways that aren't true 4-ways and cars do not stop when I appears as they should when in fact do not have to stop. Furthermore cars drive a Lil bit faster than they should. walking your pets is safe and scenic although many sidewalks end and/or aren't present. "

"This neighborhood has the best neighbors. Always happy to lend a hand when needed and always watching out for one another. There is a real sense of community here. Lawns are kept up and it is family friendly. "

"We have lived here for 4 years We love it all trees n green lawns. But not all people are taking care of lawns, don’t no why anyone would let a beautiful lawn die. "

"We have living in area for 5 years . Nice place to walk & bike . Safe for being a large city . Neighbors watch out for each other. Most of the neighborhood keeps yards well manicured. "
  • Kevin W.
"Rebuilding in progress. Central located church. Rural area with lots of potential in every yard. Some new homes, and other homes needing gentrification "

"There are--literally--two sides to the Grand Neighborhood. This area was built along the banks of the Santa Ana River. On the river side, sits a high bluff containing many gracious custom homes built during the 50's -60's. Swimming pools are common, some streets have buried utility lines, etc. The bluff built homes have jaw dropping views; and many have balconies that make the most of the "wow" factor. Many of these "river-side" homes also have direct access to the Santa Ana River Bike Trail which runs 110 miles from Big Bear Lake to Newport Beach on the coast. On the other side of the street you will find more modest homes of smaller sq footage, with peek-a-boo views over the river. The entire neighborhood benefits from the quality of life there, but the bluff built homes and lots are clearly prized by all."
