What Locals Say about Redmond
Review Highlights
Redmond: energetic, green tech hub with easy trails, family perks, and soon-to-improve transit. Residents love safety, top schools, parks and river trails, walkable downtown, and quick errands. They gripe about heavy traffic, scarce dog parks, high home prices, and transit still catching up.

"Public park and recreation areas are very clean and well maintained. Nice building construction, good finished building materials. Well designed public spaces and residential buildings. You can go out and take a walk in the neighborhood and be safe doing so "

"Great potential for significant improvement on public transport once the light rail finally opens as everyday traffic is getting close to unbearable in certain areas such the end of 520 and Redmond Way"

"Walking distance to elementary school and fenced back yards where most kids likely play (rather than in the cul-du-sacs or in front yards)."

"My neighborhood is close to downtown shops and restaurants yet it feels like you are living in the middle of a forest. My neighbors are kind and approachable. I love waving to my neighbors as they walk their dogs past my house. I consider this a very pet and people friendly place to live."

"I just moved here less than 2 months ago from Portland area. This is a beautiful community, lots of diversity and accessible to Downtown Redmond and all the great shops and restaurants. I especially appreciate the beautiful bike and walking trails along the Sammamish River that are very well maintained. Commuting to Seattle or Bellevue is ready with Rapid Ride . .. this is a great location and very affordable. "

"Dog owners would like that there are lots of green spaces and Tiger Mountain and Marymoor park are close by. They may not like that people are up tight about off leash dogs. "
