"I think dog owners would really like living in the Wessex-hills/Wyngate area. Everyone walks their dogs on these streets & the cars through are always aware & slow traveling as they all live here as well. There’s also an enclosed school playground for off leash play very close where dogs can let loose after 4pm. My dog & I have met & played with several dogs & members of the community on several occasions. This is a very dog friendly area :)"
  • Kailah
"Quite, nice, friendly, happy. Everyone basically stays to themselves. Nothing really goes on except high school games, some people have cook outs. "
  • Brian55mitchell
"block parties, golf league, garage sales. Low HOA fees with officers that do almost nothing for community."
  • Kelsey W.
"Yearly yard sales, safe trick or treating, quiet neighborhoods, nice homes, snobby neighbors, privileged school district (only cares about money) "
  • Kgsmith814
"We do Caroling at Christmas, starting a one persons house and having snacks and beverages first the go out. We dress up at Halloween as we hand out candy. Every summer there at 13 houses that participated in our annual summer block party. Also on trash night we gather together putting out the trash and enjoying each other’s company. "

"We've lived here for three years and always have conversations that could go on for a while with our neighbors. The first winter we were here, I helped shovel 3 of our neighbors our after a 2 foot snow. Then two of them baked pastries for us!"
  • Ashley M.
"I have lived in this neighborhood for many years!!! We love the area and people!! Great place to raise a family. "
  • "Lived here for many years. Convenient to everything i.e. shopping, restaurants, city, airport, parks etc., wonderful neighbors. . . Excellent school district."
  • Sheila F.
"This is a beautiful quiet and peaceful neighborhood with sidewalks and walking trails. A private trail will take you directly to the Montour Trail. Houses are nicely kept up and neighbors are friendly. You are only a 5 to 10 minute drive from Costco, Ikea, Mall at Robinson and all the shopping and dining at Settler's Ridge. The best of both worlds."

"Moon is a very nice family oriented town. You can accomplish almost everything within the town limits ie: Doctors, shopping, banks. They have a wonderful parks and recreation department with summer Friday family nights that include gathering at parks for movie events and concerts, various summer camps for children and they just opened a new dog friendly park too! Moon has a wonderful school system with 6 elementary schools and a brand new middle school and high school campus. Moon is located just 15 minutes west of downtown Pittsburgh with a very nice commuter parking lot and direct bus service downtown making a downtown commute both easy and economical. Overall Moon Township is a great suburban setting to live in with every convenience minutes away. "
