"It’s a very diverse & pleasant neighborhood to live in. I’ve lived here for over 5 years, now. Everything is accessible. "
  • "The neighborhood from 60th to 55th St, Keefe to Burleigh, is very walkable. There is a wonderful neighbor group that organizes monthly meetings, a block party in the summer, a neighborhood rummage sale, and other fun events. Our neighborhood group even has a Facebook page and email newsletters. It takes 15 minutes or so to get downtown, to Miller Park, and the buses regularly run by if you need mass transit. I can bike to work in Wauwatosa or you can bike downtown. It's great to live close to what Milwaukee has to offer. I always grin to myself when I hear about my co-workers having the long commute in the snow or heavy traffic because I don't even need the freeway to get where I am going fairly quickly!"
  • "I have driven thru the neighborhood regularly for 20 years. It seems to hold its own. I think it is well-mixed around the median by economics and ethnicity. I am considering buying in the neighborhood because it is in my price range and I see it as a moderate risk/reward I can deal with."
  • "So many diverse design styles in this area...and most of Milwaukee for that matter. You've got Tudors, Cape Cods, Ranches, Mid-Century Modernist, and my personal favorites...The Georgian Colonial Revivals! I sometimes feel like dressing in period costumes when touring these beauties! =) "
  • "I've lived here for 4 and 1/2yrs. Love my neighborhood! Very friendly people who watch out for one another and are always eager to lend a helping hand. I'm a single woman with a big dog, but this is an extremely pet friendly area. I walk my dog every night and have never had any problems. It's also easy to get anywhere from here (downtown) in about 15 min."
