What Locals Say about Southwest Elgin

  • 86nasus
    Southwest Elgin, Elgin
"Looks like they did a really quick remodel with cut corners. Honestly, this house would have more charm if they would’ve left it how it was you can see bad angles, more pronounced now where they painted white to look more modern. Floors are crooked and leaning, and that would’ve been OK with original flooring."

"we are off the beaten path as far as traffic is concerned... there is a very low crime rate in our neighborhood. we have two parks relatively close. there is a grade school within a quarter mile. lots of kids in the neighborhood. even though it appears to be primarily Hispanic there are few rentals and fairly descent upkeep of the houses and landscape. it's one of the quieter neighborhoods I've been in in my 25 years here in elgin"
